today about the exciting opportunities available in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers during the 17th Annual National High Technology Day being bei ng hosted by AT&T and HACEMOS. During the event at AT&T’s headquarters in Milwaukee, students participated in high tech d day ay activities, including an MIT App exercise, a Mobile App workshop and an Arduino circuit building exercise. They also heard from AT&T Wisconsin State President Scott T. VanderSanden and State S tate Representative Jessie Rodriguez about the opportunities available in the STEM field and the importance of higher education. “AT&T Wisconsin is committed to helping advance the education of our young people, particularly in the critical fields of science, technology, engineering and math,” said VanderSanden. “We are proud to partner with HACEMOS to help introduce Hispanic students to the STEM education they will need to be prepared for fo r st careers in the 21  Century.” This year, more than 2,200 high school students in 32 cities across the country including Milwaukee participated in National High Technology Day, marking an increase of 50 percent in student participation from 2014. The theme for this year’s National National High Technology Day isLeadership for Tomorrow Begins Today.

HACEMOS is an industry-leading Hispanic/Latino employee resource group at AT&T with more than 8,400 employee members in the United States. The group aims to build stronger communities by providing positive role models and demonstrating the importance of education to achieve success.
