Function
The transmitter key (A8/1) sends an infrared signal to the left front
IR receiver (A26/1) or the right front IR receiver (A26/2). The
overhead control panel control module (N70) receives the request
for "convenience opening" via CAN and actuates the sun blind
motor (M24m1) in the "open sun blind" direction. This opens the
panoramic sliding roof sun blind.

Close function

203.7 with CODE (413) panoramic sliding roof
Function requirements
a No overvoltage/undervoltage
a Circuit 15R ON or
a Circuit 15 ON and
a Panoramic sliding roof closed
a The overhead control panel control module (N70) detects the
neutral position (switch not activated for 40 ms)
Function
The "close sun blind" function is only available when the sun blind
drive unit (M24) is in the normalized state.
It is deployed by moving the roof system switch (N70s1) toward the
front of the vehicle. The roof system switch (N70s1) must remain
manually pressed. The overhead control panel control module
(N70) then actuates the sun blind motor (M24m1) which closes the
sun blind. The motor operates for as long as the switch is activated or
until the sun blind reaches its end position.
i
The "close sun blind" function is aborted if lock-up of the sun
blind is detected.
The sun blind drive unit (M24) is not provided with an
obstruction sensor.

Open function
11.10.00
203.7 with CODE (413) panoramic sliding roof
Function requirements
a No overvoltage/undervoltage
a Circuit 15R ON or
a Circuit 15 ON
a Panoramic sliding roof closed
Function
The sun blind is opened by pushing the roof system switch (N70s1)
back to the actuation point. The overhead control panel control
module (N70) reads the state of the switch and actuates the sun
blind motor (M24m1) for as long as the switch is activated or until
the sun blind has reached its end position.
i
Further actuation is only possible once the control module
senses that the switch is in the neutral position (i.e. not
activated for more than 1 second).
Function abort
If the overhead control panel control module (N70) detects lockup, the "open sun blind" function is aborted.
iWhen denormalized, the "open sun blind" function is restricted.
Motor actuation is then only possible for at most 1 second. The
switch must then be released and pressed again before another
actuation can take place.

Automatic opening function
11.10.00
203.7 with CODE (413) panoramic sliding roof
Automatic function
i
The automatic function is aborted by moving the switch again in
any direction.
Moving the roof system switch (N70s1) in the overhead control
panel control module (N70) rearwards beyond the actuation point
triggers the automatic "open sun blind" function.
i
"Automatic opening" is not possible when the sun blind is in the
denormalized state.
