Introduction
Guardian Medevac is a private limited start up Air Ambulance Service to provide urgent medical
transport to critical patients from rural areas of Bangladesh to Dhaka for best the best medical care. It
will operate in partnership with Galaxy Flying Academy Ltd, it will assist with hangar facilities and
maintenance.

Objectives
Form Guardian Medevac private limited company which meets the criteria of Civil Aviation Authority
Bangladesh (CAAB), affiliating it with Galaxy Flying Academy Limited, for Charter Operations, Air
Operating Certificate, hangar facilities and maintenance.


Acquire Cessna 207 (amphibian) for Air Ambulance and later on Beechcraft King Air.



Operate each aircraft at least 15 flights a month.



Aircraft revenue to exceed the operating cost resulting in net profit.



Provide variety of charter operations for wide range of customers.



Provide 24hours one call service.



Make aggressive marketing to increase growth by minimum of 10%



Within 3 years provide international jet services.

Mission
Guardian Medevac ideology is to provide air transport at the lowest possible rate with the highest level
of safety, comfort, on board medical care and save lives which is priceless.

The Market
Bangladesh is a land of 147,570 square km of land with high population density with poor road
transport facility. A handful of the best hospitals are located in the capital city Dhaka. This creates a
huge problem in Bangladesh because people from the other parts of Bangladesh do not get the care they
need at the right time due to hours and days spent in travelling from one end to another. Not even that
the cost of private ambulance service is extremely high and what makes it worse is those expensive
ambulances do not have stand by doctor or nurses always and poor facility inside the ambulance itself
results in loss of lives every day.
Guardian Medevac is the answer to this. We will have 48 pickup locations all over Bangladesh and
because it will use an amphibian aircraft meaning it can land both on land and water, allowing us to
reach the most remote location where it is difficult for a vehicle to reach in due time. Because the size of
Bangladesh isn’t big and the capital city Dhaka is at the center of the country makes it possible to reach
any destinations within 50minutes. Every minute counts making it a life and death situation.
Our marketing plan and there are no key players in this sector. We believe we can play a monopoly role
in Air Ambulance services.

Challenges in Launching an Air Ambulance Business
Air ambulance startups face a handful of unique challenges.
Around the Clock Service. Air ambulance service providers have to be prepared to transport patients
on a 24/7/365 basis. If our team and aircraft aren't equipped to perform in any weather environment,
our startup will lose credibility and experience the effects of negative PR in the close-knit medical
transportation community.
Fleet Acquisition. Securing a fleet of aircraft that has been outfitted for medical transportation is a
significant barrier to entry for startup. Standard aircraft must be modified with advanced medical and
flight equipment, further increasing cost barriers.
Pilot & Medical Team Staffing. Staffing is a challenge for any startup. But for an air ambulance
startup, staffing is complicated by the need to hire trained and experienced pilots and medical personnel.
Similar to fleet purchasing, employee leasing from Galaxy Flying Academy will allow us to reduce
overhead and administrative requirements without jeopardizing the quality of service you provide to
your patients.

Flight Operations
This department belongs to the Operation group, compared to Maintenance and Engineering who
handles the technical aspect of the airline operations, from the name itself flight ops is responsible for
the airline flight operation, at take-off, the pilot in command together with the first officer, they take
control of everything and providing the services outside the cockpit are the well trained flight
attendants, but prior to that, at ground, the Technical Support Division of Flight Ops had already done
their duties.
They represents the flight activities of the airline, the Pilot in Command and First Officer performs the
quick 360° inspection of the aircraft, before heading to the cockpit, at the cockpit the captain follow the
checklist and prepares for take-off, this routine activities of the Flight Crew is the heart of every airline
operation, working with other department, the airplane must take-off and land safely every flight.
TRAINING
Properly trained flight crew is very essential, and Galaxy Flying Academy trains world class pilot in
their academy. They will provide the pilots. Even fresh young pilots who graduate will straightly join
Guardian Medevac and can gain valuable experience to be real asset of the country.
FLIGHT DECK CREW

The air ambulance will be equipped with state of the art medical equipments an experienced nurse and
doctor.
FLIGHT TECHNICAL SERVICES
Is the on-ground division of flight ops, taking care of the airplane dispatch and giving assistance to
passenger while still on ground, performance of those duties is an immense contributory factor to flight
safety.

THE MAINTENANCE AND ENGINEERING
The Maintenance and Engineering, will headed by Galaxy Flying Academy of different divisions which
are Aircraft Maintenance, Quality Management, Technical Services and Engineering, the complete lineup in the Maintenance Department will guarantee the Safety, Reliability and Quality of the aircraft,
release for flight.

Financials
A big portion of investment is acquiring necessary documents and licensing to operate an aircraft,
leasing an aircraft hangar and setting up aircraft maintenance department. Guardian Medevac will save
a substantial amount of initial investment by collaborating with Galaxy Flying Academy. Next segment
which is the major part of investment is acquiring the aircraft.
For our initial operation we will acquire Cessna 207 Skywagon.

Conclusion
