SKILLS AND KEY STRENGTHS:
I am a highly motivated, caring and committed individual who thrives on a challenge. As
well as being enthusiastic, I am very flexible and enjoy working with different people,
independently and as part of a team.
After I completed my ‘A’ levels in summer 2013, I decided to take a 12 month break from
education, of which I initially spent 5 months working at Tesco picking shopping for online
deliveries. Following this, I spent time travelling to Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Chile,
Peru, Bolivia & Argentina.
During my time at Lord Wandsworth College, I developed a keen interest for the technical
side of music but, since starting my degree in Music Production at Leeds Beckett University,
I have expanded my interest for other areas within music such as, Artist & Repertoire,
Digital Marketing and Social Media as well as further developing my technical skills.
This has arisen from modules such as ‘Music and Digital Media’ and ‘Music Industry’ from
which I have gained skills such as the production and marketing of an online music video
and how to improve its success through social media and SEO (Search Engine
Optimisation). In particular, the Music Industry module has sparked my interest for the
more business side of the music industry, learning about contracts, record deals,
management, marketing and the consumption of music.
I am heavily involved with the University Media society, which involves covering a wide
range of events, including Varsity Rugby at Leeds Headingley Stadium for which I was Head
of Sound.

I also run a dance music radio show for 3 hours every week on Leeds Student Radio, which
has helped improve my communication and production skills.
In summer 2011, I went with a party of fellow pupils and staff to a small community in
Southern Ghana as part of a Sabre Trust School Partnership. I learnt many skills from the
initial fundraising for this trip as well as gaining new skills from the varied workload whilst
in Ghana.
I raised £2,500 for this trip by running a quiz night, recording and producing a song sold on
iTunes and by gaining sponsorship for running the Reading Half Marathon.
The project itself involved renovating a school library, classroom and veranda. I particularly
enjoyed working with the community and was proud of working in a team and seeing what
we were able to achieve to support the local school and community.
At College I was also closely involved with the Combined Cadet Force (RAF Section) and was
awarded the rank of Sergeant as well as Head of Section. Various camps, adventure and
leadership skills courses helped to improve my management skills and I enjoyed working
with both students and staff.
Technical Skills:

Fully proficient in various digital audio workstations including Logic 9, Logic X, Cubase
and Ableton Live.
Advanced understanding of word and numerical processing e.g. Microsoft Word and
Excel
Intermediate ability in image and video creation and editing. (Photoshop and Final Cut)
Good understanding of live sound setups.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS:
Music Production, Electronic Dance Music, DJing, Technical Puzzles, Video Games and Sports
(Football, Rugby & Cricket)
