A data warehouse (DW) is a collection of technologiesaimed at enabling the decision maker to make better andfaster decisions. Data warehouses differ from operationaldatabases in that they are subject oriented, integrated, timevariant, non volatile, summarized, larger, not normalized, andperform OLAP. The generic data warehouse architectureconsists of three layers (data sources, DSA, and primary datawarehouse). During the ETL process, data is extracted froman OLTP databases, transformed to match the data warehouseschema, and loaded into the data warehouse database
