What is your study load (i.e. Full time, part time) and how many semesters
do you have left before graduating?
I currently in my first year of fulltime B. Actuarial Studies with B. App Finance. My
degree constitutes 4 years and there remains seven more semesters.
2.

What is your workload this semester and what other extra-curricular
activities are you involved in?
I have a moderate workload this semester, however l am able to efficiently balance
both work and extra-curricular activities to achieve optimum results.

 Taekwondo
 World Vision cultural school fundraiser
 Recently completed Duke of Ed Gold
 PACE scholarship
 Global Leadership Project
 Volunteering at St. John Ambulance service
 Volunteering at local Buddhist temple (maintenance)

What are the key motivators that encourage you to perform at your best?
Develop and learn new skills: Having the opportunity to learn new skills
motivates me as l am always open to learn new things
 Being part of something bigger than myself: Being part of a team, and
forming everlasting friendships is always encouraging
 Having a sense of purpose: l definitely perform better in situations in which l
feel that I’m making a contribution to a larger cause that may benefit the
community


4. Please explain what consulting is and how it works.
Consulting is a two-way exchange between the consultation team and the consulter. In
this process both parties meet on several occasions and share information and express
their views on certain issues facing the business (e.g. health, marketing, safety) and
work to overcome these challenges. The aim of such consulting is to help businesses
to reach their full potential.
5. How does this position fit in with your long term goals?
In the future l aspire on becoming an actuarial consultant. I feel that the development
of critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills through my active
engagement as a 180 degree Consultant would provide me with valuable experience
and skills which will be greatly beneficial for my future endeavors.
6. What knowledge areas and technical skills are your strongest?
Strongest Knowledge Areas: Mathematics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, IT
Strongest Technical Skills: Proficiency in EXCEL, MS Word, Powerpoint, photoshop,
lightroom. Strong mathematical and english skills.
