ST. COLUMBA CATHOLIC CHURCH  April 10, 2016 Third Sunday of Easter

Year of Mercy The Corporal Works of Mercy are found in the teachings of Jesus Jesus and  and give us a model for how we should treat all others, as if they were Christ in disguise. They "are charitable actions by which we help our neighbors in dults). their bodily needs" (U.S. ( U.S. Catholic Catechism for A dults). They respond to the basic needs of humanity as we  journey together through through this life. Give Alms to the Poor Donate money to organizations that have the ability to provide support and services for those in need. Do research and find organizations that put people in need first, rather than profit.

What are you doing with your plastic bottles and aluminum cans? The Youth Group has been collecting them to help fund their Confirmation retreats and their attendance at Steubenville. This is an ongoing fundraiser and has helped send youth who  would not otherwise be able to attend to experience exp erience either of these very important events.  You can help easily by dropping off your plastic  bottles and aluminum cans at the storage container in the gravel parking lot. The youth sort and bag the recyclables each Sunday and an adult volunteer transports them to the recycling center. Thank your for your continued support.
