PRESS RELEASE – October 06, 2011
The Albany County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Matthew C. Arnold age 21, of 156 Schell Rd., Berne N Y for Grand Larceny. The complaint alleges that Matthew Arnold stole $1200.00 in U.S. Currency and 2 blank checks from his former employers at the Bozenkill Farm located at 1102 Bozenkill Rd. in the Town of Knox on or about September 11th 2011. The complaint further alleges that Matthew Arnold did possess and cash each one of the checks, the first check was written out to Matthew Arnold in the amount of $460.00 and the second was written out to cash in the amount of $500.00. Arnold was charged with Possession of a forged instrument in the Second Degree “D” Felony, Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree “E” Felony and Petit Larceny “A” Misdemeanor. The checks were cashed at Key Bank in the Altamont and Bellevue branch offices. Arnold was arrested Monday October 3rd and arraigned in the Town of Knox court. At the time of arrest Arnold was wearing the same clothing as observed in the bank surveillance photos.
