CASE NUMBER: 2009.44052 The Aurora Police Department is offering a reward of up to $2000.00 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of an as yet unidentified victim. The shooting took place at approximately 1:30 a.m. the morning of Friday, October 30, 2009 behind the Sunrise Restaurant at 9115 East Colfax Avenue. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. On October 30, 2009 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Aurora Public Safety Communications received several calls reporting a shooting outside the Sunrise Restaurant at 9115 East Colfax Avenue. Responding officers found an unidentified adult Black male behind the building who appeared to have suffered numerous gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Major Crimes/Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are in the very early stages of their investigation. Witnesses reported the suspect, dressed in dark clothing, fled the scene on foot.
