BlackBerry Mobile Fusion Software Offerings
The new BlackBerry Mobile Fusion marks the entry of RIM into the MDM field. The package offers 3 new products for the MDM category. These offerings are as follows: Device Service: The BlackBerry Device Service permits you to manage the work perimeter on BlackBerry PlayBook tablets that run on the BlackBerry Tablet OS 2.0 or later. The BlackBerry Device Service allows you to:  control the connections the tablet makes to your organization's environment, including connections to your  Organization’s Wi-Fi networks and Microsoft ActiveSync  install and manage your organization’s applications on tablets  protect your organization’s data and applications on tablets Universal Device Service: The UDS allows you to manage iOS and Android platform based devices. If you activate devices using the Universal Device Service, you can use the Universal Device Service to:  Manage devices using the IT policies and IT administration commands that the devices support  Configure profiles for devices so that you can control the connections to your organization's environment (Wi-Fi profiles  and certificate profiles for iOS devices and Android devices, VPN profiles and email profiles for iOS devices)  Provision and manage work applications on devices  View the device inventory for your organization Mobile Fusion Studio: BlackBerry Mobile Fusion Studio is a Universal console for all your mobile devices and their management. It’s a web application used to do the following:  Administer BlackBerry smartphones and BlackBerry PlayBook tablets in your organization across multiple MDM domains.  Enable users to activate smartphones and tablets  Assign user accounts to groups based on common criteria, such as user location, organizational group, or smartphone  Assign IT policies to user accounts to customize and control what users can do with their smartphones
