IDP for mentors/mentoring- Guidelines
This Individual Development Plan (IDP) has been customized as per your mentees needs. This IDP contains
two sections:
1. Research Areas: These are suggested areas/topics for research which will help you in developing a
mentoring plan.
2. Suggested Action plans: These are the possible action plans that can be used for designing and
customizing your mentoring approach.

Your Research Areas
With reference to the scores of your mentee, Bodily-Kinesthetic Inclination is the area of strength which
can be further strengthened. Thus gathering the following information will prove to be an aid to the process.

Researching on Kinesthetic Intelligence
Advantages of improving Kinesthetic ability
Tools/techniques on improving Kinesthetic ability
Applied Kinesthetic ability

Suggested Action Plan
In order to add value to your mentoring plan, you may want to incorporate the following strategies:

Coordination Games: Play games with the mentee that require good hand-eye coordination eg. learn
to juggle, etc.
Sports: Encouraging him/her to participate in sports at school or in his/her locality with friends.
Creative Hobbies: Try woodworking, crocheting, or build model airplanes or cars. (As per the child's
preference)
Play Kick: Much like playing catch with a ball, playing kick is a fun and easy way to develop
coordination and muscle control. As your child’s skills improve you can move farther apart, practice
passing back and forth while running across the yard, and play keep-away.
