Campaign Proposal:
Product:
St. Rocco’s

Target Audience:
Parents aged 23 – 45. Who don’t have a lot of money but still want to look
fashionable, they most likely don’t have the time to look around shops
either.

Campaign Message:
Make your clothes stand out this summer.

Launch Date:
The launch date is the 1st April

Schedule of adverts:






The first advert will be presented into newspapers: The sun, The
Star, The Guardian, The daily mail, the daily express. It will also be
landscaped.
The second advert will be put on bus stops, they will be put on the
bus stops going into town centres and it will be portrait.
The third advert will be portrait and will be put in magazines: Take a
break, all about soap, Heat magazine, Hello Magazine, OK Magazine.
The fourth advert will be portrait and will be appear on billboards
around the city centre mainly near clothes shops.

Location of adverts:

The first photograph will be taken in my front garden and will be put
in landscape.

The second photograph will be taken in my back garden and will be
portrait.

The third photograph will also be taken in my back garden and will
be landscape.

The fourth photograph will be taken on the street that I live on which
is Bernard Avenue and it will be portrait.

Legal Issues:
   Discrimination:

Discrimination is when you judge someone because of their social
groups, race or gender. I will make sure that my pictures aren’t
affecting anyone.

   Deformation:

Deformation, libel is when you write something, so I will respect this
law and I won’t write anything on my caption on the pictures that
would offend anyone.

   Intellectual property rights:
Intellectual property rights is where you have stolen someone else’s
idea, I will respect this law and I won’t steal anyone’s picture ideas
the ideas I have will be 100% mine.

Trade Marks:

This is where you have a logo visible to the audience. I won’t
disrespect this law, I will make sure that the model in my
pictures have the logos of brands on their clothes to be
invisible to the audience.

Copyright:

This is where your ideas have to be their own ideas and you can’t
steal anyone else’s ideas, I will respect this law by coming up
with my own ideas for my pictures.

Ethical Issues:
Ethical is where you have to make sure you understand all the legal
laws and make sure you don’t break any of them in your
pictures. I will make sure I won’t break any of the legal by
getting someone to have a look at them before getting the
photos produced into advertisements.

Representation:
Representation is where you have to make sure that you aren’t
discriminating anyone in anyway in your pictures, you could
discriminate someone by their age, gender and social groups.
I will prevent someone feeling discriminated while looking at
my pictures by not talking about anything that could
discriminate someone in my caption of my photos.

Misleading advertising:
A key and extensive section of the Code, containing rules such as
substantiation (evidence to prove claims); pricing; the use of the word
‘free’; availability of products, comparisons, testimonials and more.
I will represent this ethical issue by not saying my clothes are brand new
and that they are second handed. I will also make sure that the clothes

that my model wears are the same standard as the ones that are in the
charity shop.

Compliance:
Rules relating to social responsibility; legality and fair competition. It also
spells out that the ASA applies the Code in the spirit, as well as the letter.
I will present this ethical issue by being truthful in my adverts, I will be
truthful with everything including, using the clothes that are in the charity
shop, using the correct price of the items of clothing and declare that they
are second handed clothing and not brand new out of shops.

Recognition of marketing communications:
Rules about making sure material is clearly identifiable as marketing
communications / advertisements / advertorials.
I will present this ethical issue by stating that the items of clothing are
second handed and are from the charity shop that I am advertising.

Privacy:
Rules about depicting members of the public; referring to people with a
public profile; implying endorsement and the Royal Family.
I will present this ethical issue by making sure that I have permission from
every person that is captured in the picture and that they are fine that
they can be identified in the picture.
