A car accident occurs when a car collides with any other object on the road, this causes several impacts on both the driver as well as the society. It results in injury, death and damage to the property. The following are its impact on driver and the owner:-
The Impact of car accident on the driver: May result in death. Accidents on highway or main roads cause lots of death, yearly more than 40000 drivers all around the world die because of car accidents, which accounts to 1 death in every 12 minutes. Can cause any physical handicaps (as in most of the cases). More than 3 million people get injured because of car accidents, and more than 2 million of these injuries being permanent. If he is saved from any injuries then he has to pay fines for breaking the law and for the various impacts he has caused. The court of law may also send him to jail, which puts a black mark onto his character. And this may become his drawback for the rest of his life. He will always find himself guilty and thus may lose his self-confidence in driving a car by himself from the next time. Many car accidents causes mental disorders to the driver, such as post-traumatic stress , persistent anxiety, depression, and phobias one year after the incident and this adds to a high hazard to the persons day to day work. This may also include Psychological effects.
The Impact of car accident on society: Causes lots of traffic jams after an accident has happened. It also results in road blocks, mainly on highways; it stops traffic and thereby creating a huge mess all around. Has impact on the schedule of a busy man who has to go to work and cannot go on time because of car accidents. Creates a sense of fear of losing someone near and dear in life and hence scaring people for no reason. Despite of the accident of a person the society sees the person as a threat and instead of taking the person for immediate treatment, starts asking different questions to him.
My personal opinion:In my opinion as the technologies are increasing the rate of car accidents has dropped tremendously. But still there is no technique to predict car accidents therefore car accidents have not been eliminated so far. But steps to safety and precautions can help us to improve this hurdle. Just because of a single car accident such huge complications are created such as:-problems to the people involved in the accident and their family, blockage of various roads, loss of property as the car suffers damages and destruction etc. Thus car accidents are a very big hazard to the driver and society.
