Event: ARTini Deco. Hosted by: Allied Arts’ Catalyst group. Where: Oklahoma City Farmers Public Market. To benefit: Allied Arts. What: Catalyst, a young professional group, brought back the roarin’ 20’s at this fun benefit party for the arts. The evening included live entertainment from the band Grand Marquis, raffle prizes and a silent art auction. Local restaurants served original martini recipes and appetizers. Heath and Julie Hornbeek. Awards were given for best recipes for the drinks and appetizers and the creative use of the theme.

What: A celebration party for Jim Farris to honor him on his eight years of service as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Science Museum Oklahoma. Where: SMO. Former board members and others gathered to say thanks and to see a presentation on the great things planned for the museum. Some of the museum's accomplishments under Farris's leadership include the official name change from Omniplex to Science Museum Oklahoma, the creation of the Oklahoma Museum Network and the accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums. Officers: Colin FitzSimons is current board chairman and Jim Farris is immediate past chairman.

BIG TOP REUNION
Alumni event: Members of the Big Top Alumni, the first four classes of U.S. Grant High School (1956, 1957, 1958 and 1959), met at the Embassy Suites Hotel for their annual reunion. The two-day event was attended by 94 people. There was a social mixer on Friday and a dinner on Saturday. Decorations: School colors of red and gray were used for the Saturday night dinner and red candles were on the tables. Larry Warner was master of ceremonies. He coordinated the reunion with Joy Cannon Warner, Larry Brocaw and Priscilla Chapman Mann. Work with me Annie: There was a memorial slide show and after dinner music from the 1950s was played for dancing.
