Occupy Prohibition
#FirstDoNoHarm
There is no legitimate reason to alter a perfect baby.
The Foreskin is an important Organ of the body, and a vital part of the Immune system. Just as
the eyelid protects the eye, the foreskin protects the glans. The foreskin also maintains optimal
warmth, pH balance, and cleanliness. The glans itself contains no sebaceous glands – glands that
produce the moisturizing oil that our skin needs to stay healthy. The foreskin produces the oil that
keeps the surface of the glans soft and healthy.

Circumcision is not simply the cutting off of useless skin. Author Gary L. Harryman ennumerates
what circumcision destroys:
***Its connective synechia, which fuses the foreskin to the glans during development.
***Approximately half of the smooth muscle sheath called the dartos fascia.
***Most of the erotogenic nerve endings
***Specialized epithelial Langerhans cells, a component of the immune system.
***Thousands of coiled finetouch receptors, including the Meissner's corpuscles.
***Estrogen receptorsthe purpose and value of which are not yet fully understood.
***Ectopic sebaceous glands, which lubricate and moisturize.
***The protective covering of the glans, normally an internal structure. The foreskin shields from
abrasion, drying, and callusing, and protects from dirt and other contaminants.
***The entire immunological defense system of the soft mucosa, which may produce
antibacterial and antiviral proteins such as lysozyme, also found in mother's milk, and plasma
cells, which secrete immunoglobulin antibodies.
***Lymphatic vessels, the loss of which interrupts the lymph flow within a part of the body's
immune system.
***The frenulum, the sensitive "V" shaped tethering structure on the underside of the glans is
also usually amputated, severed, or destroyed.
***The apocrine glands, which produce pheromones, nature's powerful, silent, invisible signals to
potential partners.
***As much as 50% or more of the total penile skin, radically immobilizing and desensitizing
whatever skin remains.
***The "gliding" mechanism. If unfolded and spread out flat, the average adult foreskin would
measure 1520 square inches, the size of a postcard. This abundance of specialized, self
lubricating skin allows the ability to smoothly "glide" back and forth within itself, permitting non
abrasive intercourse, without drying out the vagina.
***The pink to red to dark purple natural coloration of the glans.
***10% to 20% of its circumference because its doublelayered wrapping of loose foreskin is
now missing.
*** As much as one inch of erection length due to scarring and shrinkage from loss of the
foreskin.

***Several feet of blood vessels, including the frenular artery and branches of the dorsal artery,
the loss of which interrupts normal blood flow to the shaft and glan, damaging its natural
function and possibly stunting its growth.
*** An estimated 240 feet of microscopic nerves, including branches of the dorsal nerve.
*** Perhaps most importantly, between at least 10,000 to 20,000 specialized erotogenic nerve
endings of various types, which can discern slight motion, subtle changes in temperature, and fine
gradations in texture.
*** And occasionally a boy will lose his life from this needless operation. It has been estimated
that as many as between 100150 babies die EVERY year from circumcision and related
complications.
Please share this list with others, especially anyone who says the foreskin is a useless piece of
skin or that circumcision is no big deal.
The Foreskin is a vital ORGAN and an important part of immune system. Many men, after reading
this list and researching, are greatly saddened by the realization of what they have lost. Many are
suing their doctors for doing harm and taking away this vital part of their anatomy. Here is a list of
websites specifically on the functions and purposes of the important foreskin organ.
38 presidents and representatives of several national medical associations and societies of
pediatricians and pediatric surgeons from 16 countries: “There are no compelling health
arguments in favor of circumcision, while it can have serious longterm urological, psychological
and sexual consequences. And performing medically unwarranted circumcision of underage boys
conflicts with good medical practice.
Male infant circumcision conflicts with children’s rights and the doctors’ oath not to do harm.”
Description of the foreskin
Germany’s official Pediatric Association:
“[…] The male foreskin is a part of the skin of the organ and fulfils important functions that
protect the very sensitive glans. It normally covers the glans and protects it from harmful
substances, friction, drying out and injuries. It has apocrine sweat glands, which produce
cathepsin B, lysozyme, chymotrypsin, neutrophile elastase, cytokine, and pheromone such as
androsterone. Indian scientists have shown that the subpreputial wetness contains lytic material,
which has an antibacterial and antiviral function. The natural oils lubricate, moisten and protect
the mucous membrane covering of the glans and the inner foreskin. The tip of the foreskin is
richly supplied with blood by important blood vessel structures. The foreskin serves as a
connective channel for many important veins. Circumcision can lead to erectile dysfunction as it
destroys these blood vessels. Their removal can, as described by many of those who have been
affected, lead to considerable limitations to sex life and cause psychological stresses. […]”.

"In conclusion, circumcision removes the most sensitive parts of the penis and decreases the fine
touch pressure sensitivity of glans penis. The most sensitive regions in the uncircumcised penis
are those parts ablated by circumcision. When compared to the most sensitive area of the
circumcised penis, several locations on the uncircumcised penis (the rim of the preputial orifice,
dorsal and ventral, the frenulum near the ridged band, and the frenulum at the mucocutaneous
junction) that are missing from the circumcised penis were significantly more sensitive."
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/.../abstract;jsessionid...
“This study confirms the importance of the foreskin for penile sensitivity, overall sexual
satisfaction, and penile functioning. Furthermore, this study shows that a higher percentage of
circumcised men experience discomfort or pain and unusual sensations as compared with the
uncircumcised population. Before circumcision without medical indication, adult men, and parents
considering circumcision of their sons, should be informed of the importance of the foreskin in
male sexuality.”
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23374102?dopt=Abstract
Pain
"Finally, studies reveal that lasting changes in pain sensitivity with the early experience of pain
have been found in fullterm infants as well. Using a prospective cohort design in males, one
study found that facial painscore coding from videotape recordings at four or sixmonth routine
vaccination was related to circumcision status as well as pain treatment for the procedure
(Taddio, Katz, Ilersich, & Koren, 1997). In particular, a significant linear trend of increasing facial
pain scores during immunization emerged from uncircumcised (lowest) to circumcised infants
with topical lidocaineprilocaine cream (mid) to those who were circumcised with placebo
(highest). Thus, research on rat pups, preterm human infants, and fullterm infants all show that
the introduction of early pain has longterm effects on the development of pain
processing.” http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1595204/
"[...] Circumcision is a surgical procedure that involves forcefully separating the foreskin from the
glans and then cutting it off. It is typically accomplished with a special clamp device (see Fig. 2).
Over a dozen studies confirm the extreme pain of circumcision. It has been described as “among
the most painful [procedures] performed in neonatal medicine.” In one study, researchers
concluded that the pain was “severe and persistent.” Increases in heart rate of 55 beats per
minute have been recorded, about a 50 percent increase over the baseline. After circumcision, the
level of blood cortisol increased by a factor of three to four times the level prior to circumcision.

Investigators reported, “This level of pain would not be tolerated by older patients. [...]”
Legality
"[...] the children's ombudspersons from the five Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland,
Denmark, and Iceland), and the children's spokesperson from Greenland, in addition to
representatives of associations of Nordic paediatricians and pediatric surgeons, have agreed to
work with their respective national governments to achieve a ban on nontherapeutic circumcision
of underage boys. [...]"
