Surname 1 Name: Professor: Course: Date: Computer Science personal statement I am greatly interested in studying at your college, where I would be able to get a profound knowledge in computer science. When I was a child, I got immensely interested in computing. This is thanks to my dad, who introduced me to computers in his workplace, that I became obsessed with this professional professional sphere. I developed an interest interest and a feeling of wanting to know more about computers, e.g. how they work, their capabilities, and why they function the way they do.

When my parents noticed my interest in computers, they encouraged and

supported me by buying me a computer. This was the best gift that I had ever received until that day. The fascinating nature of computers, their modernity, and tremendous challenges made me choose to pursue a career in computer science with exceptional ease. The power of the internet and information technology is extremely dynamic, and so is my passion and interest in computing. The computer ideology and innovation is advancing at a significant rate. Today, computers are the most essential tools, and I strongly believe they will remain as such in the future. I want to be a part of this stimulating industry and of specific software engineering. Computers require software. Thus, experts will be always required to code and write programs to fulfill various tasks. My ultimate goal is to be a part of a team that creates useful and effective software for consumers. The engineering course will be my platform and key to my success; therefore, I am willing to work in this area.

Surname 2 While at school, I acquired the knowledge of such subjects as physics and chemistry, which will definitely come in handy in my future career. For instance, the knowledge of physics helped me comprehend the operation of various parts of the computer and their functions. Chemistry, in its turn, helped me improve my evaluation and analytical skills. My physics teacher was also interested in computer science and helped me deepen my knowledge by lending me books, journals, and articles, such as ‘Wuthering heights’ by Emily Bronte, and ‘An Eternal Golden Braid’ by Douglas Hofstadter. These books only fostered my desire to study computer science. I am hardworking, diligent, and goal oriented, and this helped me expand my interest and master things that are normally not learnt in the classroom but are necessary in the business world. Over the years, the knowledge I helped me set up a computer related business. This totally changed my perception of business operations. At the beginning, coming up with a business plan was an alien experience, but as months passed by, I did an extensive research and eventually completed the plan. This was extremely rewarding and satisfying, since I could never think I would be successful. I learnt a lot through setting up and running the company. These include the importance of teamwork, delegation of tasks, balancing of tasks, and effective delivery of services. Apart from studying and running the business, relaxing is also essential. One of my hobbies is playing intelligent Real-time Strategy Games. This enabled me to develop my innovative strategy thinking, make new friends worldwide, and develop leadership skills. I also listen to music, swim, play football and chess. I am the best chess player in my family. Finally, when it comes to quality education, I have no hesitation that this university is the best for me, since it offers an appropriate academic environment and an exceptional variety of

Surname 3 educational advantages. I would also like to advance my education and pursue a Master’s degree and later PhD in Software Engineering. I would, therefore, love to be a part of this institution to improve my future projections and professional life. Thank you in advance for considering my application. I am looking forward to the challenges that a degree in computer science will present. Yours Sincerely, xxxx.
