A collage is an artistic composition of materials and objects pasted over a surface, often with overlapping lines and use of color. Purpose: You will recognize the many connections and references from ancient Greek mythology to our culture today. Assignment: You will find images, words or phrases that are derived from the myths and fables we have discussed in class, and prepare a collage of these to share with your classmates. Requirements: Format: use 8 ½” x 11” sheet of construction paper (we will provide you with that) Presentation: attractive use of color and images all words are typed or cut out of magazines or newspapers your name, date and hour are on the BACK of the collage page should be filled with words and images Required connections: You must have a minimum of seven connections - include at least five images/pictures Evidence of effort: thoughtful, attractive product Resources: Look in magazines, newspapers, and television. Do not limit yourself – consider business names, logos, team names, product names, etc.
