A lot of people love cookies. They serve as a come on for some, a small but sweet treat that could make their day instantly. There are lots of cookies around. Manufacturers were able to concoct their own, very unique recipes that people love coming back for. One of the most successful cookie brands through the years is Berger. The Berger Delight Berger cookies were from Germany. They were made by DeBaufre Bakeries and were brought to America in early 1800s. It has a rich history behind it, but definitely not as rich as the berger cookies recipe itself. Berger cookies are basically vanilla wafer with a chocolate ganache topping. The cookie delight was an original recipe from Germany but was passed over time through different ownerships. Good thing, the goodness of the recipe remains and people still get to enjoy it even in this highly modernized era. Aside from the Berger cookies, there are many other cookie variants that people who love sweets go ga-ga about. One of them is the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. We give you the recipe below. Make your Own Like many cookies, chocolate chip cookies with oatmeal are quite very simple and easy to do. If you do not feel like running to your local pastry and you want to put your skill into use, you can do your own through the help of this guideline: Step 1: Gather all the ingredients. You will need some all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, shortening, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, granulated sugar, chopped walnuts or pecan, semisweet chocolate chips, and rolled oats. Step 2: Sift the flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix them together and then set aside. Step 3: Cream the shortening, add brown sugar and granulated sugar, then add the vanilla and lightly beaten eggs. Step 4: Mix the dry mixture with the wet ingredients, then stir in the nuts, oats, and chocolate chips. Step 5: Spoon the cookie batter onto the sheet pan. Step 6: Bake into a preheated oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Step 7: Allow the cookies to cool on a metal rack before serving.

This chocolate chip-oatmeal cookie recipe is so delicious. It can serve as your kids’ afternoon snack or your very own. It s best paired with a cup of hot coffee or tea or some fresh fruit juice.
