Duration:
Duration of course is nine months.
Eligibility:
After clearing foundation course, student can appear for Executive Programme course OR it can be pursued by Graduates of all streams except Fine Arts OR those students who have cleared CPT or CWA foundation course. Candidate should not be less than 17 years of age.
Registration:
Should register with the ICSI at least nine months in advance. Registration is valid for 5 years.
Subjects: (7 papers in two modules)
1) Module-I
•Company Laws (100) •Cost & Management Accounting (100) •Economic and Commercial Laws (70 + 30) •Tax Laws and Practice (70 + 30)
2) Module-II
•Company Accounts & Auditing Practices (70 + 30) •Capital Market & Securities Laws (60 + 40) •Industrial Labour Laws & General Laws (70 + 30)
Exams:
Exams of this course held twice in a year, in the month of June and December.
Exam Dates:
1st week of June (2nd to 7th) – 2.30 to 5.30 P.M Last week of December (26th – 31st) – 2.30 to 5.30 P.M
Type of Paper:
Subjective
Passing Marks:
40% in each paper and 50% overall in all papers. Otherwise student has to reappear in exams.
Cut off dates:
*28th Feb. (Both modules – December attempt); 31st May (One module – December attempt);
31st August (Both modules – June attempt);
30th November (One module – December attempt)
Fees Structure:
The course fee is Rs. 8,500/- for CS Foundation pass candidates, Rs. 9,000/- for commerce graduates, and Rs. 10,000 for non-commerce graduates. The Examination fee is Rs. 1,200/- (per module).
Prospectus:
The cost of prospectus and Examination Application Form is Rs. 500/-.
Payment Option:
Payment can be done through demand draft, which has to be drawn in favor of ‘The Institute of Company Secretaries of India’, payable at New Delhi. OR Pay online (Gradually the institute plans to shift to online mode)
*Other Requirements:
Compulsory Computer Training: Undergo 70 hours computer training before writing the Executive Programme Examination. Compulsory SIP: Undergo 7 days Students Induction Programme (SIP) within 6 months of registration and before appearing in Executive Programme Examination.
