Loans announced for CNG automobiles
OKLAHOMA CITY — Communication Federal Credit Union has announced new loan programs for consumers to purchase vehicles with compressed natural gas conversions or add a CNG conversion to vehicles they already own. Loans for home refueling appliances also are included in the program. Communication Federal Credit Union believes CNG will be the fuel of the future. It reduces dependence on foreign oil and also helps local economies by supporting local businesses involved in natural gas production and distribution. CNG reduces carbon emissions and is currently more than $2 less than a gallon of gasoline. Communication Federal's new loan program will allow most consumers to finance the conversion in with their auto loan. This can be done when the vehicle is purchased or if someone wishes to add a conversion, CFCU can typically refinance the vehicle and add in the cost of the CNG system. The credit union is also offering stand-alone financing for CNG conversions and home refueling appliances. More information is available on the credit union's website or by calling the credit union at 800 .654.LOAN. www.comfedcu.org
