Program Objectives
Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to: 1. Recognize potential risk factors for victimization and perpetration of sexual assault. 2. Critically analyze evidence-based strategies geared toward decreasing the risk of sexual assault and increasing empowerment among women. 3. Outline the roles of the healthcare team, law enforcement and school officials in terms of education and management of exposure to sexual violence. 4. Identify community resources with an emphasis on the prevention, identification and management of sexual assault of women. 5. Explore the growing epidemic of human trafficking and its consequences for women.
