Important Dates
Thursday, December 18 - is White

Show-N-Tell Day. Have your child come
dressed in white, share something white,
and we will have a white snack as well!
It is also our Christmas Party with gift
exchange.

December Skills
In our Literacy/Letter Time, I will be
introducing the letters Ss and Jj. These
letters continue to use the “Magic C” concept
and we will be reviewing all Magic C letters the
last week of class.
This month in the Math Center, students will be
continuing to write numerals. We will be moving
on to 8 and 9 using the chalkboards and
practice papers. Similarly we will also be
working on connecting these numerals to
quantities. Then we will have a review of 7-9 the
last week of class.
This month’s character education topic is
giving. This is the perfect time of year to give
to others and teach the importance of being
generous.

We will resume class on Tuesday,
January 6.

Christmas Party
We will be having a Christmas party on the 18th.
Please bring in a new gift wrapped children’s
book that is one of your child’s favorite so we
can have a gift exchange.
Please encourage your child to keep their book a
surprise and not tell their classmates what it
is. Please DO NOT put a gift tag on the wrapped
book – just wrapping paper. We are using the
books to play a game.
