Planets in ZERO degree of a house are usually of very weak in giving
results of their adjacent houses. In such cases, they act according to
their dispositors; the strongest of the dispositor, naturally, will be the
driving force.

1. As classics name it, the RAASHI-SANDHI is a sensitive point and
its occupant has ZERO power (from 29 deg of last sign to 1 degree
present sign). Particularly at ZERO degree, any planet is present in
TWO SIGNS and has TWO LORDS and two dispositors. The stronger of
them influences the planet and makes it act accordingly.

2. When a planet is in Raashi Sandhi, involving one of its own raashi,
the influence is simple - the lord of the other sign controls it!

3. When both the rashis are owned by the same planet in the Sandhi
(possible only in case of Shani at ZERO degree KUMBHA), the driving
force comes from the lord of the Nakshatra of the Sandhi (here
DhaniShTa - lord Kuja). The same principle can be applied to other
cases also, except for RKSHA sandhi.

4. Though, Nakshatra lord can be taken as the driving force for the
planet in Rashi Sandhi, at THREE points of Zodiac, Rashi-Sandhi
coincides with Nakshatra-Sandhi and is called RKSHA sandhi (end of
Kataka, Vrishchika, Meena) and any planet placed here, is very
badly weak in giving any good result. To be frank, these points are the
black holes of the zodiac, and indicate SADYO MARANA or death
immediately after birth!! It is very interesting to note that these
points exist near the stars of Kethu, the Moksha Karaka!

Very crudely, it may be said that a planet in rashi-sandhi becomes
'homeless' just like the Rahu-Kethu!

So in essence, it seems a planet placed between 29-1 degrees is rendered
very weak and its significations are thus harmed.

This weakness makes the planet fully dependant on its dispositor as a
source of strength (as in Rahu-Ketu) and the dispositor is determined
by the stronger of the two planets ruling the adjacent houses.

For example, if the Moon is placed in Virgo at 0 degrees and the Sun
stronger than Mercury in the chart then we assume the Moon to
behave as it is in Leo and give results similar to the Sun.

Could this actually be a beneficial placement if the dispositor of the
adjacent house is a Yogkaraka in strength? Also does the dispositor
also take over the affairs of the planets natural rulership e.g the Sun
take over lordship of cancer also?
