Developed successful academic/career pathways program. Curriculum/supplemental a cademic programs at Ferris HS were not providing targeted career direction for p ost-HS planning. Developed career pathway program. Defined five career pathways based on national career/technical education standards, improving goal setting. Improved performance of at-risk freshmen. Lake Stevens freshmen struggled to mee t expectations and had high dropout rates. Conceived/implemented Freshmen Academ y for 15% of class at risk. Involved parents and students, cut class size, and e mphasized study skills/mentoring. Improved retention rate and overall grades. Strengthened program leadership/outcomes. Lake Stevens Alternative HS lacked lea dership, program continuity, and focus on student programs/services. Using colla borative approach, brought about substantive change in accountability, expectati ons, and standards. Improved grades and cut number of students on probation. Implemented electronic documentation/website for Health Program. Health Services in Lake Stevens District was disjointed/not standardized.
