CENTER OF ADVANCED STUDIES IN ENGINEERING (CASE) PAKISTAN Distance Learning Program
Introduction:
The Distance Learning (DL) program of CASE is for those who want to pursue MSc/PhD at CASE but cannot attend classes on CASE campus. The main objectives of the distance learning are to provide facilities to the distant professionals for their educational uplift. The centerpiece of the program is the provision of digitally recorded lectures, which, in the form of Video CDs, are mailed to DL students. These CDs provide the next best thing from actually being present in the lecture, allowing DL students to appreciate the live questions and answers and classroom discussions. The video screen consists of the topic, lecture contents, and lecture slides. For most classes, students also have access to an on-line forum, where their queries are answered and assignments are submitted through e-mail.
