NURSING MANAGEMENT Conduct thorough physical assessment to check if there are problems regarding patient’s health and if there are relevant changes in her condition. Monitor the vital signs every 4 hours accurately and recorded it. Monitor I (intake) and O (output) every shift. Explain the procedures (nursing procedures) to the client before performing it. Check patient chart for any added orders of the physician. Make sure the patient receive medicines indicated for her. Check laboratory reports for test results. Provide a morning care and bedside care. Allow the client to rest and provide conducive environment. Encourage relaxation techniques and diversion activities. Encourage the client and family about the ordered activity and exercise. Provide health teaching for the preoperative patient. Inform patient about nutrition, she is on DAT (Diet as tolerated) diet.
