Mar. 15 vs. Cleveland – Cavaliers 123, Magic 108: Kyrie Irving poured in 33 points, including 5-of-6 from three-point range, as
Cleveland defeated Orlando, 123-108, at Amway Center. Irving was 12-of-15 from the floor. JR Smith netted 25 points for the
Cavaliers, while LeBron James tallied 21 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds. Victor Oladipo led the Magic with 25 points,
Tobias Harris poured in 24 points and Nikola Vučević added 22 points and 15 boards. Elfrid Payton nearly missed a tripledouble with 13 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds. Cleveland shot 59.2 percent from the floor and was 18-of-35 from threepoint range. The Magic also struggled from the free throw line, making just 15-of-27.
RECENT GAMES:
Mar. 13 @ Boston – Celtics 95, Magic 88: Evan Turner scored 24 of his game-high 30 points during the second half as Boston
overcame an 11-point deficit and defeated Orlando, 95-88, at TD Garden. Kelly Olynyk added 13 points for the Celtics. Elfrid
Payton tallied 20 points, nine assists and five rebounds for the Magic, but went 4-of-15 from the free throw line. Nikola Vučević
recorded 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Both teams struggled on the offensive end. Orlando shot 42.5 percent from
the field and committed 20 turnovers, while Boston shot 43 percent from the floor and had 17 turnovers. Boston dominated the
fourth quarter, outscoring Orlando, 29-16. Turner went a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor and netted 16 of his 30 points during the
final stanza.
Mar. 11 @ Milwaukee – Bucks 97, Magic 91: Khris Middleton poured in 30 points, as Milwaukee defeated Orlando, 97-91, at
Bradley Center. All five Bucks starters scored in double figures. Zaza Pachulia tallied 10 points, 12 rebounds and five assists.
Nikola Vučević paced five Magic players in double figures with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Tobias Harris netted 17 points.
Orlando was 10-of-18 from three-point range and a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line. However, the Magic were
outrebounded by Milwaukee, 51-33. Orlando held a 10-point lead midway through the third quarter, but the Bucks closed the
frame with a 12-2 run and tied the game at 72 heading into the final stanza. The fourth quarter saw two ties and seven lead
changes, but a Middleton three-pointer with 3:12 left gave the Bucks the lead for good.

March 17, 2014 – The Orlando Magic signed center Dewayne Dedmon for the remainder of the regular season, General Manager
Rob Hennigan announced.
March 17, 2010 – Vince Carter dished out a season-high eight assists and led all scorers with 24 points, as the Magic beat San
Antonio, 110-84. Rashard Lewis added 20 points in the Magic’s victory.

March 17, 2009 – Tony Battie records his 400 career steal against Cleveland, as the Magic fall on the road, 97-93.
March 17, 2005 - The Orlando Magic named Chris Jent interim head coach. He replaces Johnny Davis, who was dismissed
following the Magic’s loss @ L.A. Clippers on Mar. 16, along with assistant coach Ron Ekker. Jent becomes the seventh head
coach in franchise history. He was named assistant coach on Aug. 12, 2004, after spending the 2003-04 campaign with
Philadelphia as an assistant coach/player development.
March 17, 2002 - Earlier in the season, Tracy McGrady posted his first career triple-double against the Sixers, and he almost
accomplishes the feat again, tallying 29 points, a career-high 13 assists, eight boards and three blocks en route to a 105-103
victory over Philadelphia. The Magic close out the week with a 3-0 record and McGrady garners NBA Player of the Week
honors, averaging 31.3 points, 10.0 assists, 7.7 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.3 blocks a game.
March 17, 1998 - In a contest which features the return of former Magic head coach Brian Hill to the O-Rena, Orlando outlasts
Vancouver, 99-92. Hill receives a standing ovation prior to the contest.
March 17, 1996 - Dennis Scott’s fifth three-pointer of the game with 40.2 seconds left equals the NBA single-season record of
217 three-pointers made and lifts Orlando to a 98-97 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Scott, who scored all 17 of his points
in the second half, breaks a 95-95 tie and ties the record that John Starks of the New York Knicks set in 1994-95. Eddie Jones
scores on a dunk for the Lakers with 27.7 seconds left and a Nick Van Exel steal and subsequent drive to the basket is thwarted
by Anthony Bowie. Horace Grant adds 26 points and 17 rebounds.

The Orlando Magic debuted their new alternate “Pride Jersey” home uniforms on Nov. 26 against Golden State and will wear
hem again on Apr. 1 vs. San Antonio…Orlando is 5-5 while wearing the Pride Jersey uniform…The Pride Jersey uniform will
serve as the team's fourth uniform to go along with their home white, road blue and alternate black pinstripe uniforms...The
Magic will wear them for select home games during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons…The sleeved, adidas Pride Jersey is
made out of engineered mesh in Magic silver to represent “steel” – a rigid, unbending and relentless symbol of unity created to

COACHING CHANGE…
On Feb. 5, the Orlando Magic relieved Jacque Vaughn from his head coaching duties, General Manager Rob Hennigan
announced…In addition, James Borrego was named interim head coach…Vaughn was named head coach on July 27, 2012
and was the second-youngest coach in the NBA at the time of his hiring…During his two-plus seasons in Orlando, Vaughn
compiled a record of 58-158 (.269), including 15-37 this season.
Borrego is in his third season with the Magic…He spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach with New Orleans
(2010-12)…Prior to joining New Orleans, Borrego spent seven seasons with the San Antonio Spurs from 2003-10…He started
as an assistant video coordinator in the summer of 2003 and finished his tenure as an assistant coach...During those seasons,
Borrego was a part of two NBA Championships teams in 2005 and 2007.
YOUTH GONE WILD…

also owns the franchise record for most rebounds in a single game with 29, set on Dec. 31, 2012 vs. Miami…Vučević has six

After missing the first nine games of the season due to a facial fracture, Victor Oladipo has steadily improved as the 2014-15
season has progressed…Oladipo has led (or tied) the team in scoring 22 times, in rebounding once and in assists 18 times…He
has scored in double figures 54 times, had 20+ points 19 times and 30+ points four times, including a career-high 38 points on
Mar. 4 vs. Phoenix, the most points scored by a Magic player this season.
**MAGIC TRICKS – VICTOR-IOUS**
On Mar. 6 vs. Sacramento, Victor Oladipo tallied 32 points, 10 assists and five steals…He became just the second player in the
NBA this season to record 30+ points, 10+ assists and five-plus steals in the same game, joining Oklahoma City’s Russell
Westbrook (Dec. 25 @ San Antonio, 34 points, 11 assists, five steals)…The only other player in Orlando Magic history to have
30+ points, 10+ assists and five-plus steals in a single game is Darrell Armstrong, who tallied 33 points, 14 assists and five
steals on Nov. 24, 1999 vs. Dallas…Oladipo also became just the fourth player in the NBA this season to record back-to-back
games with 30+ points and three-plus steals, joining James Harden, LeBron James and Westbrook.
On Jan. 12-14, Victor Oladipo became just the fourth player in Orlando Magic history to have 30+ points, shoot 60%+ from the
floor and make at least one three-pointer in back-to-back games…The others were Scott Skiles (Nov. 25-27, 1992), Anfernee
Hardaway (Nov. 14-16, 1995) and Tracy McGrady (Feb. 16-18, 2001).
PAYTON PAVES OWN WAY…
Elfrid Payton made his NBA regular season debut on Oct. 28 @ New Orleans, tallying four points, a team-high seven assists,
five rebounds and one steal in 31 minutes of action…Payton became the first rookie in Orlando Magic history to start at point
guard in the team’s regular season opener…Anfernee Hardaway started in his NBA debut on Nov. 5, 1993 @ Miami, but was
joined in the backcourt by veteran point guard Scott Skiles…Payton has led (or tied) the team in scoring twice, in rebounding

Elfrid Payton was named the NBA Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for January…He became just the sixth player in

On Nov. 4 @ Chicago, Elfrid Payton dished out a team-high seven assists…Payton became just the third player in NBA history
to dish out 7+ assists in each of his first four career games, joining Oscar Robertson and John Wall…Robertson handed out 7+
assists in each of his first ten games with Cincinnati in 1960, while Wall recorded 7+ assists in the first seven outings of his
career in 2010 with Washington.

MAGIC BACKCOURT DOUBLES UP…
On Mar. 6 vs. Sacramento, Victor Oladipo (32 points, 10 assists) and Elfrid Payton (10 points, 12 assists) each recorded a
points/assists double-double…It marked just the eighth time in Orlando Magic history that two players recorded a points/assists
double-double during the same game…It was also the first time it happened since Dec. 19, 2003 vs. Golden State, when Tracy
McGrady (29 points, 12 assists) and Rod Strickland (11 points, 12 assists) both recorded double-doubles.
“ALL BUSINESS”…
Tobias Harris, known to his teammates as “All Business,” has made his during the 2014-15 season…Harris hit the gamewinning jumper as time expired on both Nov. 5 @ Philadelphia and Dec. 13 vs. Atlanta, marking the third game-winning shot of
his career…He also beat the buzzer with a two-handed dunk back on Feb. 7, 2014 vs. Oklahoma City…Harris has led (or tied)
the team in scoring a team-best 18 times, in rebounding nine times and in assists three times this season…He poured in a
career-high 34 points on Feb. 6 vs. L.A. Lakers.
**MAGIC TRICKS – HARRIS**
Tobias Harris scored in double figures in the first 38 games that he has played, until putting up just nine points on Jan. 23 @
New York…That was the longest streak of scoring 10+ points in his career and ended the second-longest active streak in the
NBA…Harris scored 10+ points in 18 consecutive outings from Feb. 7-Mar. 19, 2014.
THE FRENCH CONNECTION…
Evan Fournier helped France capture the bronze medal at this summer’s FIBA Basketball World Cup, and his play has carried
over to his new team in Orlando…Fournier has led (or tied) the team in scoring six times and in assists four times this season,
has scored in double figures 37 times and had 20+ points six times, including a career-high 28 points on Nov. 12 @ New York.

During his first two NBA seasons with Denver, Evan Fournier scored 15+ points 16 times in 114 games…This season, he has

DEWAYNE DEDMON
He didn’t play organized basketball until his senior year of high school due to religious reasons, as detailed in a
November 2011 Sports Illustrated article. He grew three inches to seven-feet after graduating from high school.
He led the USC Trojans in rebounding, blocked shots and steals as a junior in 2012-13. His favorite vacation
destination is Brazil and he enjoys bowling in his free time. Meet Dewayne Dedmon.
EVAN FOURNIER
He was born in Saint-Maurice, France and turned pro at the age of 16. He wore #94 as a member of the Denver
Nuggets to represent the country code of where he is from in France. He likes to spend time with his family and
watch movies in his spare time. He is a big fan of the TV series Game of Thrones and has a dog named Simba.

CHANNING FYRE
He and his wife, Lauren, have a son, Hendrix (born Oct. 2010), and a daughter, Margaux (born April 2012) and he
is the cousin of Magic forward Tobias Harris. He established the C. Frye Foundation in 2007 and has been
extremely active in the community throughout his time in the NBA. His favorite magazine is GQ and he likes to fish
and golf during the offseason. He enjoys reading and doing yoga in his free time. Meet Channing Frye.
AARON GORDON
He earned MVP honors at the 2012 Under Armour Elite 24 Game, the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Game, and
the 2013 FIBA U19 World Championships in Prague, where he led the United States to a gold medal. He led
Archbishop Mitty High School to consecutive state titles in 2011 and 2012 and became only the fourth two-time
California Mr. Basketball selection since 1979. He enjoys playing golf, his favorite movie is Space Jam and he is a

BEN GORDON
He was born in London, England, before moving to the United States shortly after birth. He enjoys reading and
spending time with family and friends in his spare time. During his junior season at Connecticut, he made 104
three-pointers which is the second-highest single season total in school history. He majored in pre-business

WILLIE GREEN
While at Cooley High School in Detroit, was coached by his uncle, Gary Green, who played basketball for Eastern
Michigan. He participated in the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders program in Africa and has hosted a week-long
youth basketball camp in his hometown of Detroit for the past nine summers. He enjoys watching action movies,

MAURICE HARKLESS
During his freshman season at St. John’s, he ranked second in steals and was named the Big East Conference
Rookie of the Year. He was named MVP at the 2011 Kobe Bryant Classic. He majored in communications and is a
big fan of the New York Giants. He enjoys swimming and his favorite movie is I Am Legend. In his down time, he

TOBIAS HARRIS
His father was the agent of Hall-of-Famer George Gervin and his cousin is Magic forward Channing Frye. He was
named New York’s Mr. Basketball, All-USA by USA Today and a McDonald’s All-American. He is the founder of the
Tobias Harris School of Business Basketball Camp, his favorite TV show is Ray Donovan and his favorite vacation
spot is the Cayman Islands. He proudly wears no.12 to pay tribute to his close friend and former teammate, Morgan
Childs, who died of Leukemia. Meet Tobias Harris.

DEVYN MARBLE
His father, Roy Marble, played collegiately at Iowa and stands as the school’s all-time leading scorer. He and his
father are the only father/son duo to amass 1,000+ points at the same school, and is the highest-scoring father/son
duo in Big Ten history (3,810 points). His favorite TV show is The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and he enjoys going to
the movies. He is a talented musician and can play both the saxophone and clarinet. Meet Devyn Marble.
ANDREW NICHOLSON
He enjoys golfing during the offseason and his favorite book is The Great Gatsby. Before pursuing basketball, he
had a love for baseball and for the Toronto Blue Jays. He played in the FIBA Americas Championship with the
Canadian National Team and ranks second all-time in scoring at St. Bonaventure. He graduated with a degree in

KYLE O’QUINN
He didn’t start playing basketball until his junior year of high school. He was named the 2011-2012 MEAC Player of
the Year and a two-time MEAC Defensive Player of the Year while at Norfolk State. During his rookie year with the
Magic, he was named the Aleve-Publix ‘Hustle Player of the Year.’ He enjoys online shopping and watching
documentaries. He loves to travel during the offseason and he is a big fan of the New York Mets. Meet Kyle
O’Quinn.
VICTOR OLADIPO
He helped the Indiana Hoosiers to their second straight trip to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2013 and Indiana’s first
outright Big Ten regular season championship since 1993. He finished second in the 2013-14 NBA Rookie of the
Year voting and his 13.8 points per game was the fifth best scoring average of any first year player in Magic team
history. He enjoys singing, bowling, and playing video games. He was a sports communications/broadcast major at
Indiana and his favorite movie is Love and Basketball. Meet Victor Oladipo.
ELFRID PAYTON
He is just the third player in Louisiana-Lafayette history to be drafted in the first round of the NBA Draft (Andrew
Toney, eighth pick, 1980; Kevin Brooks, 18th pick, 1991). His father, Elfrid, Sr., was a Hall of Fame defensive end
for the Baltimore Stallions of the Canadian Football League and he is the second of six children, having five sisters.
He enjoys comedy movies, his favorite vacation spot is Brazil and he is a fan of the New Orleans Saints. Meet

LUKE RIDNOUR
During his high school basketball career, he was coached by his father and he was a McDonald’s All-American in
2000. As a junior at Oregon, he dished out a school single-season record 218 assists and he was recently inducted
into the University of Oregon Athletic Hall of Fame in September 2014. His favorite vacation destination is Maui and
he enjoys surfing, boating, and spending time with his family. Meet Luke Ridnour.
NIKOLA VUČEVIĆ
His mother and father both were professional basketball players. He was raised in Belgium, his family moved to
Montenegro when he was a teenager, and he attended a year of prep school at Stoneridge Prep in Simi Valley, CA
prior to enrolling at USC. He’s a Philadelphia Eagles fan and Lord of the Rings is one of his favorite movies. He
holds the franchise record for most rebounds in a game with 29 on Dec. 31, 2012 against Miami. Meet Nikola
