User Login / Registration
On the Home page there is a Login and Register Link. One has to
click on login to go to the login page which is for already
registered researcher purpose. The researcher enters the user
name with password and enters into the system to get any
research materials regarding the archival document.
When the user clicks the register link the user has to be
registered newly to the system by entering all the details and
after confirmation can become a user to the system. Then the
user has the permission to download the required document.

Above Snapshot illustrates the User's Home panel/Dashboard. Here he/she can doseveral
operations.

Description:The Primary function of Odisha State Archives is collection, preservation, management,
publication and educational use of records. These functions are performed according to the requirement
of the administrative as well as research scholars and also it plays a significant role for promotion of
State’s historical research.e-Catalogue or e-Abhilekha contains vast collection of Books, Newspapers, and

Publications etc.If someone wants to download softcopies then he/she should Register in the Registration
form then he/she can view/download then files.

Books :

A gazette is an official journal, a newspaper of record, or simply a newspaper.

Gazetteers serve as encyclopedia of a district and of State as they record authentically economic, social, cultural,
physical climatic condition of the state. Its utility for researchers, policymakers and bureaucrats is of immense
value. Gazetteers also serve as encyclopedic work for the posterity as it chronologically and systematically records
culture, lifestyle and other material condition of the state. In line with the Imperial Gazetteer of India, the
preparation of Gazetteers was taken up as a national project and was designed to bring Gazetteers.

Oral Archive is the collection and study of historical information about individuals, families,
important events, or everyday life using audiotapes, videotapes, or transcriptions of
planned interviews. These interviews are conducted with people who participated in or observed
past events and whose memories and perceptions of these are to be preserved as an aural record
for future generations. Oral archive strives to obtain information from different perspectives and most
of these cannot be found in written sources.
