Labor & Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, in a statement said that some 106 job fairs has already been scheduled in Metro Manila for 2013 but there will be many more, especially in the other regions nationwide. Baldoz said that DOLE conducted a total of 1,553 jobs fair all over the country and they target to at least double this number in 2013. Baldoz added that 12 of the 106 job fairs, are for overseas, the rest are for local employment,a proof that plenty of local jobs are available for the job seekers. Labor & Employment Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz, in a statement said that some 106 job fairs has already been scheduled in Metro Manila for 2013 but there will be many more, especially in the other regions nationwide. Baldoz said that DOLE conducted a total of 1,553 jobs fair all over the country and they target to at least double this number in 2013. Baldoz added that 12 of the 106 job fairs, are for overseas, the rest are for local employment,a proof that plenty of local jobs are available for the job seekers. Baldoz also said that the agency will ensure the participation of its government partners that will bring in to the job fair their services, such as the birth certificate issuance services of the National Statistics Office (NSO); the clearance certificate issuance services of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP); the social security benefits programs of the Social Security System (SSS); and the passport issuance services of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
