Camp Invention is where big ideas become the next big thing. Local educators
lead a week of hands-on activities for
children entering grades 1 to 6 who will
investigate circuits, disassemble household appliances and have a chance to examine science and technology concepts
during team-building exercises. Visit

Each year Ranken hosts two weeks of
fun and learning at the annual Ranken Adventure Academy (ranken.edu/
adventureacademy), with camps for rising sixth through twelfth graders. This
is a fun and exciting way for students
to learn about the academic and career
options available in science, technology,
engineering and math (STEM) fields. In
each camp students will design, create
and work with hands-on projects, ranging from building go-karts to designing
jewelry. Ranken hosts Adventure academies at both the St. Louis campus and
the new Wentzville location. The cost of
the camps is only $95 per camper for an
entire week of fun.

Film is a powerful form of storytelling that
capitvates millions. This camp will expand
your knowledge when you learn to plan, shoot
and edit a short feature film.

SUMMER MUSIC PROGRAMS

MUSIC RECORDING CAMP
Monday, June 22 - Friday, June 26
Experience what it’s like to be a recording engineer working in a state-of-the-art recording
studio. Campers will learn useful recording/music mixing skills while working with a local band
to create a compact disc of their own.
Both camps are held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. each day at the Webster Groves campus.
Webster University School of Communications is also holding a High School Screenwriting
Competition. The winning script will be used during Filmmaking Camp and produced as a film.
The scriptwriter will receive an iPad mini, as well as the opportunity to attend the
Filmmaking Camp at no charge.
Enrollment is limited in both camps, and early registration is encouraged.
