Engineering 1. AIEEE: All India Engineering Entrance Examination – AIEEE Exam 2011 Central Board of Secondary Education, All India Engineering / Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE), Shiksha Sadan, 17 – Rouse Avenue, Institutional Area, (Near Bal Bhavan), New Delhi – 110 002. The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE 2011) is for all engineering aspirants who have appeared for or passed Class XII from any national or state recognized board. AIEEE 2011 Exam Date: 01-05-2011. This exam is conducted for admission to the 20 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), four Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM), 16 self-financed deemed universities and nine other central and state government – funded institutions. The number of attempts for this exam is restricted to three. AIEEE Central Counseling Board Admission Procedure: As per the direction of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), 50 per cent of the seats in NITs will be filled from AIEEE 2011 eligible candidates of states where NITs are located and the other 50 per cent will be filled on an all – India merit basis. The MHRD will make efforts to establish NITs for those states / union territories that do not have NITs as of now. In case the new NITs are not established before the start of admission based on AIEEE 2011, seats will be made available for the eligible students of such states / UTs which do not have any NIT, so as to keep the number of seats for such states / UTs at the level of 2007, after making due adjustment for the number of seats filled by eligible candidates of these states / UTs. A list of the participating institutions will be furnished by Central Counselling Board 2011 at the appropriate time and will be available on the CCB website http://www.ccb.nic.in. The Ninth All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions in B.E. / B.Tech. and B.Arch. / B. Planning in various national level institutes like NITs, IITs, Deemed Universities and government funded institutions and States like Haryana and Uttaranchal will be held on 01 May, 2011 all over India and abroad.

AIEEE Examination will be held in two parts viz :

B.E. / B.Tech from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. B.Arch. / B. Planning from 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs.

Assam JAT: Assam Joint Admission Test – Assam JAT A Joint Admission Test is conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Assam for selection of candidates for admission to the first year of the B.E. course to the two State Government Colleges and REC (for Assam quota only). Candidates seeking admission in any Regional Engineering College (against Assam quota) have to apply separately to Principal, Regional Engineering College, Silchar, in addition to appearing in Joint Admission Test. CEE DELHI: University of Delhi will hold Combined Entrance Examination (CEE – 2009) for admission to first Semester of Bachelor of Engineering Courses in Delhi College of Engineering and Netaji Subhas Institute of Tehnology for the session 2009-2010 for Delhi Region only (85% Seats) will be held on Saturday, the 31st May, 2009. The admission to 15% seats reserved for Outside Delhi Region Candidates (Outside National Capital Territory of Delhi) shall be made on the basis of All India Merit Rank in AIEEE-2008 to be conducted by C.B.S.E. All the candidates belonging to Outside Deli Region (Outside National Capital Territory of Delhi) are advised to appear in AIEEE-2008 as per their schedule. The criterion for deciding the eligibility of an applicant to a seat reserved for any Region is the location of the School/ College/ Institution from which the candidate has passed the qualifying examination on the basis of which he/she is seeking admission.

GGSIPU: Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted by Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). The entrance examination is held for the purpose of admission into different engineering, technological and scientific disciplines at bachelors’ degree level programmes leading to Bachelor of technology (B.Tech.). Admission to 6 years dual degree programme leading to Master of Technology (M.Tech.) and Lateral Entry to Engg. JNU CBEE: Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of the reputed Universities which are providing the admission into the reputed institutes providing the Masters Biotechnology courses to the aspiring candidates. University was established and was approved by the Government of India for providing various courses. However candidates belonging to the reservation quota are offered a relaxation of ten percentage in the above mentioned eligibility criterion. • Candidates should be at a minimum age of twenty years as on 01st of October of the ensuing year of admission. • Candidates who are in the appearing eligible exam can also apply. However it is advised to them to offer the certificate of merit to the University as soon as possible. Karnataka CET: The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted for the purpose of determining the eligibility / merit, for admission of Karnataka candidates to the First year or First semester of full time courses in Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering, Technology and Architecture courses, in institutions within the State of Karnataka. . A parallel entrance test is held by the Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association under the name of Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK). This is independant of the government conducted CET and is used to fill management quota seats of certain engineering/medical/dental colleges in Karnataka. Non-Karnataka students (students not eligible to be considered in the Karnataka quota) cannot appear for the CET. They can only appear for the COMEDK examination. Kerela CEE: The Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations (CEE) is conducting thirteen distinct Entrance Examinations for admission to Professional Courses every year: Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical Degree (KEAM), Three year LLB , Five year LLB, LLM, MCA, PG Ayurveda, PG Dental, PG Homoeo, PG Medical, PG Nursing, PG Medical Super Specialty, M.Pharm, and B.Pharm (Lateral Entry). The Commissionerate is also making allotments to KEAM, Three year LLB, Five year LLB, LLM and MCA courses. The allotment to KEAM is made through a Single Window System of the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP). KEAM/ Kerala CEE conduct two separate tests for Engineering and Medical stream courses. Each exam consists of two papers of 2½ hours duration. Engineering Entrance Examination is meant for Engineering courses except Architecture having the following papers.

Paper-I: Physics & Chemistry. Paper-II: Mathematics. There is no State level Entrance Examination for B. Arch courses. However, such candidates should appear at the National Aptitude Test for Architecture and should forward the NATA score and mark list to the Commissioner for Entrance Exam.

TANCET: Anna University Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2010 Exam Date Chennai – 600 025. Applications are invited for the TANCET 2010 to be conducted by Anna University Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu on 29th & 30th May 2010, from candidates who seek admission toM.B.A., M.C.A., and M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes in Tamil Nadu for the year 2010 – 2011 offered at University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University Coimbatore, Anna University Trichy, Anna University, Tirunelveli, Govt. Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) (IInd year lateral entry): For admission to second year (lateral entry) of B.Tech, the candidate must have passed three years Diploma in engineering course; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate or three years B.Sc degree with mathematics as one subject; securing minimum 60% marks in aggregate as per details provided in the brochure Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) (specialization in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Biology): For admission to first year of B.Pharma candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U.P. board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/university as given in information brochure of UPSEE-2011 The candidate must have clearly passed with 40% marks for general/OBC and 35% for SC/ST candidates in aggregate.
