Model scanning technique. (Scan answers and main points) very fast. 1. 2. 3. Listen to the objectives. Look at the text. Pay attention to the modeling.
“We Do” Guided Practice: Check for Understanding: 1. 2. Ask students to take 2 minutes to scan for the next 5 questions independently. Give them 2 minutes to share their answers and make sure that they got similar responses. Cold call and share out their answers. 1. 2. Take 2 minute and scan the text for the correct answers to the first 5 questions. Take 2 minutes to share the answers with the partner, focusing on whether or not they got the right answers. Get cold called.
