If you close your eyes you can see all the vivid oranges, browns, reds, and yellows
that will be upon us within the next month. You can feel the cool air replaced by
the burning rays of summer and smell wood burning replacing the smell of freshly
cut grass. You can hear the sound of fans cheering in the crowd of a football game.
The arrival of fall is quickly approaching.
Fall happens to be one of my favorite seasons of the year with spring following. I
am intrigued by all the vivid colors and the overcoming smells. It is a season of
cuddling up with the one’s you love, raking leaves, bonding over baked pies and
dishes, and overall remembering the things in which you are thankful.
Fall begins on September 23
rd
and I am counting down the days. As fast as fall is
approaching, summer is quickly leaving and bringing a whole new list of activities
to pursue. Having a one year old makes the activities more abundant than the
amount that I had last year. In fact, I have so many ideas and my list for this fall
was so busy that I created a bucket list dubbed “The Parker’s Fall Challenge.” If
ya’ll lead as busy lives as we do, we all know as much as we want to do all of these
things that it will be a challenge to complete each one. However, I am definitely up
for it!

Our Fall Challenge

1. First, how will I organize this bucket list? I want to make it fun for my one
year old that has a little to none attention span if it is not intriguing in his
mind. So, I figured if we would create a fun way to pick our little activities
during the season and this is what I found.

2. Go to a football game. It sounds so simple, right? One of the main things
people look forward to in the fall is watching the boys of fall. In this
particular case we are looking forward to watching Clay Wilcox play
football at Hutch Community College again this year! 

3. Take a drive to see all the beautiful leaves and fall colors.

4. Drink apple cider.

5. Roast marshmallows and eat smores!
