FM Receiver
Objective:
The main purpose of our project is to receive the FM signal using IC CXA
1619BS. For selecting channels we used a GANG capacitor, and an LC tank is
used to generate particular frequency to tune the circuit as per
requirement. An IF transformer is used which have fixed frequency of
10.7MHz. The range of this circuit to catch signals in 88-108 MHz, and
human listening range is 64-23,000 Hz.


Working:
An IC CXA1619BS is used in receiver circuit, which has built in oscillators,
frequency mixers, RF amplifiers etc. a GANG capacitor is used for selecting
channels in this circuit and two LC tanks are used with it in parallel for
tuning purpose. An IF transformer is used which have fixed frequency of
10.7MH. It amplifies signals at one frequency or small range of
frequencies. An antenna is used for catching of signals from transmitter
end with an LC tank in parallel for tuning purpose, volume is controlled by variable capacitors and then signal is
sent to speaker end to listen by users.
Application:
1. For receiving reception signals of TV
signals.
2. For reception signals of FM-radio
signals.
3. Radio communication and
broadcasting.
4. To record the luminance (black and
white) portions of the video signal.
