Library Scene-Gatsby is masterfully in control of his image and identity -Gatsby’s identity seems to shift, it is hard to pin-point -There are people who can see through fake identities and can see to the true identities of those fabricating them. -Gatsby built upon what people thought of him -He needs an identity that will keep people interested in him -Gatsby has been living in the past, when he was with Daisy -Nothing can waver Gatsby’s idea of Daisy -Gatsby is living in the past, but when he sees Daisy again time seems to stop and fall apart, and eh tries to save it.
