Nick Carraway studied at Yale University, has come to New York to enter the bond business. In a sense, the novel is a biography of Nick, and the unique perspective of the events of the summer of 1922, as such, their impressions and observations necessarily color the narrative as a whole. For the most part, plays only a marginal role in the events of the novel, and he preferred to remain a passive observer. On arrival in New York, Nick visits his cousin, Daisy Buchanan, and her husband, Tom. And living on Long Island Buchannan elegant Eastern eggs, Nick, like Gatsby lives in West Egg near, seemed less elegant area with disdain for those living in the Middle eggs. Western targets are home to people of nouveau riche, who have no access to existing social relations, and they tend to flaunt wealth rude. Like Nick, and graduated from Yale University, Tom Buchanan, and comes from a family of distinct Midwest. Tom is a former football player and brutal bully obsessed with maintaining the grade boundaries. Daisy, on the other hand, is a young woman almost ghostly affects a sophisticated atmosphere of boredom. Buchannan, Nick meets Jordan Baker, a beautiful young woman with a cold cynicism. The two later become romantically involved. Jordan tells Nick that Tom has been having an affair with Myrtle Wilson, a woman who lives in the valley of ashes, and ¬ industrial wasteland outside New York City. After visiting Tom and Daisy, Nick goes west of the White House, and there, sees Gatsby staring at a mysterious green light across the bay. Gatsby stretching his arms toward the light, as if to catch and keep. Nick Tom Buchanan in New York and on the way stops at the garage owned by George Wilson. Wilson is the husband of Myrtle, and Tom was having an affair. Tom tells Myrtle to join them later in the city. In the city, Tom takes Nick and Myrtle's apartment in Morningside Heights, maintaining the relationship. There shone a party's sister Myrtle, and Catherine, a couple named Maki abrasive. The rumors about Gatsby, Catherine says that somehow related to Kaiser Wilhelm, contempt ruling by Germany during World War I and had more drinks and Myrtle and become more aggressive, she begins taunting Tom about Daisy, and he reacts breaking his nose. At lunch, Gatsby offers Nick linking his work, Meyer Wolfsheim. Wolfhsheim is a notorious criminal, and many believe that he is responsible for the proper World Championship in 1919. Gatsby avoids mysterious circumstances in Buchannan. Later, Jordan Baker explains why concern Seller Gatsby: Daisy Buchanan was in love when they met in Louisville before the war. Jordan skillfully close he is still in love with her, and she with him. Gatsby asks Nick to arrange a meeting between him and Daisy. Daisy invites Gatsby, Nick and Jordan for lunch at home. In an attempt to make Tom jealousy and revenge for their relationship, Daisy is not very prudent about his relationship with Gatsby. She tells him that she loves him while Gatsby is in the ears of Tom. Although Tom is like having an affair, and said he is furious at the idea that his wife might be unfaithful. It requires taking the team to the city: there, in a suite at the Plaza Hotel, Tom and Gatsby have a bitter confrontation. Nick looks Gatsby's father, Henry Gatz, and brings him to New York to attend the funeral. Henry, Nick learns the full range of visions of grandeur of Gatsby and their dreams of selfimprovement. Totally disgusted with life in New York, Nick decides to return to the Midwest. Before his departure, Nick sees Tom Buchanan again. Tom tries to grab sympathy for Nick, and it is believed that comprehensive justified in all their actions, and wants Nick to agree. Nick thinks Gatsby, alone among the people of knowledge, tried to turn their dreams into reality, this is what makes it "big". Nick also believes, however, that the time of these great aspirations ended: greed and dishonesty have corrupted all irreversible American dream and the dreams of individual Americans.
