Identifying & Responding to Emergency Health Conditions: CPR/First Aid for PT/PTA Recognize and respond to various medical emergencies such as: sudden cardiac arrest, choking, bleeding, shock, asthma, anaphylaxis, and seizures This course will cover the Adult, Child, and Infant refresher CPR including the AED. 4 hours required for renewals by 12.31.14 Three Dates Available!

• Saturday, September 13th, 8:30 am–12:30 pm • Friday, October 3rd, 8:30 am–12:30 pm • Saturday, October 18th, 8:30 am–12:30 pm

Ethical Issues in Physical & Occupational Therapy: Cases and Controversies PT/OT, PTA/OTA’s encounter challenging ethical issues on a daily basis. Address ethical issues in this continuing education workshop with an experienced occupational therapist and a bioethicist from the University of Pennsylvania. Fulfills 2 hours ethics course for PT/PTA required for renewal by 12.31.14 Three Dates Available!

Safe Patient Handling: Hands-on CE for PT/PTA, OT/COTA A Paradigm Shift: Educating Therapists to incorporate safe patient handling with traditional therapy interventions.

Course Objectives: Present current evidence with regards to safe patient handling in the healthcare environment by demonstrating patient handling skills with the use of equipment. Review current concepts of patient assessments and address ways to determine type of transfer to assure safety for the patient and the therapist.
