How to become a good advocacy speaker

 

In the few articles that I have compiled on how to become a good speaker and from here personal experience, below are the recurring things that a good speaker must have. I tried my best to nuance these things to advocacy speakers.

Must be prepared, this thing must not be taken lightly, if the speaker is properly prepared, half of the work is done. The speech is only a matter of delivery. “What are you trying to accomplish? What impact do you want to have on your  audience? Are you looking to inform? Inspire? Persuade? Knowing your ultimate purpose and desired outcome will help you stay focused through the preparation process.” - OLIVER ADRIA
