How to Make Graphs

Resource Profile – Creating Graphs for Manpower and Cost 
 
1. Choose VIEW, SHOW ON BOTTOM, RESOURCE USEAGE PROFILE.



The Man Power graph is present as the default setting is for UNITS.  Change this to COST.

2. Choose DISPLAY, RESOURCE USEAGE PROFILE OPTIONS 




3. On the DATA tab select DISPLAY COST and change the default graph settings.

selected the LUMPSUM  
Resource 
Select COST to show 
budgeted cost 
amounts. 
Select the Budgeted 
and Remaining Early 
Boxes  
Change Bar Colors to 
what is shown here

The graphic below indicates the Cost usage over time graphically. 




4. For graphical manpower representations select the UNITS selection in the Resource Usage Profile Options. 
Click DISPLAY to change the Resource Usage Profile Options to Units.  See graphics below.

To show the cumulative curve, select the CUMULATIVE selection boxes. Leave the SHOW LIMIT box 
unchecked until finalizing the resource parameters. 
 
The graph should look similar to the graphic below.  Notice the cumulative curve line present. 
 

If the bars do not look similar to the ones above select  EDIT, USER PREFERENCES and select the RESOURCE 
ANALYSIS tab and make sure the Interval for Time‐Distributed Resource Calculations is set to DAYS. 
 
 
Select UNITS to show 
budgeted man hour 
figures.

This will display the Manpower units spread across time as a graph.  See graphic below.  By double clicking on 
the cumulative curve line the units at that moment in time will be displayed.  See graphic below 
 

 
 
Adjustments can be made to the timescale density or display by right clicking in the timescale area (in green). 
To change graphical colors or other parameters right click in the graph and select the Resource Usage Profile 
Options.  See the graphic below.
