How Do I Start?
If you have decided that you want to try Quantum Method Meditation and are wondering how to start, here's what you may do. Start with practising relaxation. We say relaxation is like the 1 on the left of a lot of 0s, unless it is there, the rest of the meditation techniques are valueless. Before you start however, it would be useful to familiarize yourself with some of the terms and techniques used.These are available in the next sections. After you have practised relaxation for a while, ideally twice every day for forty days, you may choose any meditation you want from the selected meditations section. Please remember that learning meditation without a guide or accessories requires some patience. You will progress much more quickly and benefit much more if you take the Quantum Method Meditation Course.

Quantum Terms
Your Alpha Station: The Alpha Station is beautiful place which has a waiting room surrounded by dense woods, fountains, lakes, gardens,-or any other natural environment that you like. It is the place you reach when both your mind and body is completely relaxed and alpha waves are being created in your brain. It is also the starting point in your journey towards your Quantum Home, the state of consciousness where the mind functions at the optimum level. Often, during meditation, you will use the Alpha station to wash away all your negative emotions. Create your Alpha Station in your imagination when you are trying relaxation for the very first time.

Your Quantum Home:

Your Quantum Home is your mind’s own home. It is the place where your mind is free of all negative thoughts, where it can use its creative and innovative potential best. If you want to use the immense power of your mind to become proactive so that you can attain peace, health and success, the first thing you need to do is create your Quantum Home. The first time you do relaxation, after counting down from 19 to 0, create your Quantum Home in your imagination. Your Quantum Home can be situated in any peaceful natural surrounding of your choice. It can be beside a lake, river,or sea; in the middle of a park or grassland: at the top of a mountain, in the middle of a lake, beside a waterfall ,in a dense forest or even at the bottom of the ocean. Wherever you build your Quantum Home, it should always be surrounded by joy and beauty and give you peace. It can be something that you have seen in real life and really liked, or something you design from your own imagination. Inside the Quantum Home, there will be a large drawing room. A corridor to the right of the drawing room would lead to another large room, which will be your Healing Centre.In addition, you can add a study room,a rehearsal room, an acting stage, a prayer room, or any other room that you want. Wherever you go to your Quantum Home, you can change it in any way you want.

The Healing Centre: Your healing centre is the place where you will be using meditation for self-healing. First go to your Quantum Home in the usual method. After enjoying the surroundings for a while, sit comfortably in the drawing room. Your Healing Centre is situated to the right of your drawing room. The code for entering your Healing Centre is 3-2-1-0. As soon as you count down from 3 to 0, you will enter your Healing Centre through the corridor to your right. The door will close behind you. After you finish using the Healing Centre, you will come back to your drawing room by counting up from 0 to 3. Arrange the interiors of your Healing Centre according to your taste and necessity the first time you enter. Set up a nice chair, an automatic bed and beautiful bathtub for yourself. Set up a monitoring screen to investigate the organs of your body. You can also set up a toilet if you need to. Put all the medicine, herbs, and equipments you need on racks on the surrounding walls. You may bring your favourite doctor, nurse or any loved one to the Healing Centre. You will use monchobi (visualization or mental images) to heal your illnesses and ailments sitting on the chair in the Healing Centre. If you can believe and identify completely with the image you are imagining, it will turn into a monchobi or mental image. Your brain will receive the necessary directions in the form of images. The doctor in you will be activated, so will the pharmacy within you. The process or healing and cure will be initiated; you will be free of disease.

Autosuggestions and Affirmations
What are Autosuggestions and Affirmations? Autosuggestions are positive statements about yourself that you repeat over and over again. When you say autosuggestions with belief and conviction they are called affirmations. They are both tools to help you use the tremendous power of words to transform your life for the better. You can use autosuggestions and affirmations to achieve many different kinds of positive goals, such as confidence or courage ; better memory or concentration; recovery from disease; better relationships; getting rid of bad habits; and success in education, work or business. The effectiveness of autosuggestions and affirmations has been accepted in every religion and spiritual philosophy. French hypnotherapist Dr. Emile Coue, was the pioneer in using autosuggestions for treatment of psychosomatic diseases in modern times. In the 1910s and 20s, using only one autosuggestion: “Day by day, in every way, I am getting better and better and better”, he successfully treated thousands of patients with migraine, headaches, arthritis, asthma, paralysis, stuttering, tumor, gastric ulcer, insomnia etc. successfully. He wrote about his experiences in the pioneering work in this field, “Self-Mastery through Conscious Autosuggestion.” Today autosuggestions and affirmations are at the heart of numerous self development methods.

How do Autosuggestions/ Affirmations work? Autosuggestions and affirmations activate the infinite power of our subconscious mind to work for positive goals. Our mind has the power to transform every logical desire into reality. The key to using the infinite potential of the mind is to believe. For example, in order to use the power of your mind to get a job, you need to believe that you can get a job. In most cases, this positive belief is created by earlier experiences: the memory of past successes generate confidence in the present. This leads us to the question, what about those who have no experience of success, who have accumulated experiences of failure all their lives? They have a way too. Clinical psychologists have discovered that the human nervous system cannot differentiate between reality and imagination. If you imagine an event, this generates the same brain waves as would have been created if the incident was real. And this is the secret behind the effectiveness of autosuggestions and affirmations. If you repeat the same positive statements about yourself over and over again, your subconscious starts believing that they are true. You get the same belief that someone with real experiences does. Once your mind accepts something as true, it gives the brain -another immensely powerful resource-the necessary directions to create that reality. Thus after you start believing, that belief turning into reality is just a matter of time.

How do I Form Autosuggestions / Affirmations? Autosuggestions and affirmations will be effective if you must follow these rules while forming them. 1. These autosuggestions are intended for you personally. So use the first person, e.g. 'I am bold and courageous.' 2. Be completely positive. Write down what you desire not what you want to avoid. 3. Avoid negative words. Avoid phrases such as ‘cannot’, ‘will not’, ‘do not want’ etc. Instead of saying ‘I do not have any fear’, say ‘I am courageous’. 4. Use the present tense. Instead of saying, ‘I will be courageous’, say ‘I am courageous.’ 5. Do not compare your self with the past or with someone else. Do not say, ‘I am as courageous as John.’ 6. The autosuggestions must be realistic. 7. Do not include any time limit in your autosuggestion. Time limits can be stressful. When you are setting the positive goal you want to achieve through autosuggestions, make sure it meets these conditions: 1. You genuinely desire it i.e it is not something you want just to impress others. 2. It is consistent with your other goals. 3. It is positive. 4. It is specific and detailed. 5. It is not harmful to others. 6. It is challenging but realistic.

What are the Rules for Using Autosuggestions/ Affirmations?
To use autosuggestions effectively , you have to meet the following preconditions. Desire: Your desire for the positive change in your life must be strong. Information: Change the information stored in your subconscious through autosuggestions. Repetition: Repeat the autosuggestions whenever you get a chance. The best times are just after waking up or just before going to bed. Repeating autosuggestions when you are in your Quantum Home, (i.e at the meditative level), is most effective. Waiting: Wait patiently for the change to happen. Do not exert ‘willpower’ or force yourself. Do not worry or analyse too much much about whether change is actually taking place or not. Just wait patiently and see. Gradually you will notice a spontaneous change in your behaviour or an increased enthusiasm to work towards your goals.

Monchobi (Visualization)
What is a Monchobi or Mental Image? When belief is added to your vision for your future it is called monchobi or mental image. It is a picture of who you want to be deeply imprinted on your mind. Every successful person has practiced monchobi, visualization or mental imaging consciously or unconsciously. For thousands of years spiritual seekers have used this technique for the benefit of themselves and others. In the modern world everyone ranging from players to beauty contestants use this technique for success.

Why is Monchobi ( visualization) so Successful? As discussed in the previous section, our minds have infinite potential. Monchobi helps us use this power by providing an immensely powerful and accurate guidance system. Our brain and nervous system understands the language of pictures best, and can retain it for the longest time. The human nervous system always acts in accordance with whatever the subconscious mind imagines, thinks or believes to be true. Once we have an image deeply imprinted on our mind, our brain and nervous

system accepts it as true and start working towards it day and night. They change our attitude, create initiative and enthusiasm, and keep on supplying us with the necessary knowledge and energy even when you are not conscious. Like a self guided missile, our mind guides itself make the image a reality.

Five Conditions for Successful Monchobi or Visualization: 1. The goal must be specific and clear. 2. Your brain must be able to accept the goal as logical and attainable. For example, if you are a civilian, you may visualize to become the Commander in Chief. But your brain may not accept a monchobi ( mental image) of being the Joint Chief of Staff. 3. Radiate the feeling of attaining the goal. Imagine yourself not as an observer, but as a participant in the whole process. This is very important. If you think about your goal it remains a possibility, but if you can think from your goal it is certain to become reality. 4. Continuous identification with your goal: Continue visualizing your monchibi or mental image in your meditations regularly until you achieve it. In day-to-day life continue believing your dream will come true. Do not let any negative thoughts interfere the process of reorganizing the information in your subconscious. Do not consciously analyze how you will reach your goal. Leave it to the subconscious to decide the plan of action. 5. Working silently to attain the goal. Do not announce your goal to the world, just keep on working silently till you achieve it. After practicing monchobi or visualization for a while we should feel an increased urge to work towards our goals. If this does not happen, it may indicate that we are day dreaming, and not fulfilling all the conditions of monchobi or visualization. If are now almost ready to start practicing relaxation.

Relaxation Preparation
Select a quiet place in your home for relaxation. Make sure no one will disturb you for some time. You may leave your phone in another room or put it on the silent or meeting mode so that the ring doesn’t disturb you. Make sure the room is well ventilated and is not completely dark. (Soft light is best.) Wear loose comfortable clothes. (Take off your shoes, socks and spectacles if you wear them. You may want to loosen your belt for greater comfort.) Before you start relaxation, think of any recent incident that has brought you happiness and contentment. It doesn’t matter how trivial the incident was, what matters is the feeling it brought you. Lie down on your back on a thin carpet or a hard bed, the harder the better. If necessary, you can place a thin pillow under your head. Place your hands on either side of your body, palms facing up. There should be some space between your feet. You can also practice relaxation sitting on a chair or on the floor. When sitting on a chair, keep your spine straight. Make sure your feet touch the floor. Rest the palms of your hands on your knees. If you know yoga, you can practice relaxation sitting on the floor in the lotus position or the half lotus position. Just make sure you are comfortable.

Relaxation
Relaxation is simple and easy to learn. You can practice relaxation at home. All you need to do is follow these simple steps. First read all the steps from first to last and then start your journey towards your Quantum Home. Best of luck! 1. Close your eyes softly. Your eyelids should barely cover your eyes and lightly touch your bottom eyelashes. There should be no frown or crease on the face. By closing your eyes, your most active sense organs, you are shutting yourself off from the rest of the world to a large extent. Your eyes are getting a rest. You are not unduly affected by your surroundings. 2. Now take a deep long breath through your nostrils. Exhale slowly through your mouth. Expand your lower chest and abdomen as you inhale. This is called abdominal breathing. As you inhale think ‘Infinite natural energy is entering my body’. As you exhale, think ‘All harmful elements are going out of my body.’ Again, breathe in through your nostrils. Think ‘infinite natural energy is entering my body.’ Breathe out through your mouth. Think ‘All harmful elements are going out of my body.’ Take a bit longer to exhale than to inhale. Repeat this cycle 6 to 10 times. Then let your breath return to normal. 3. With your eyes closed visualize your body - from the crown of your head to the tips of your toes. Focus your attention for about ten seconds on the muscles at the crown of your head. As soon as you concentrate you will feel the blood circulation increase in that area. It will feel slightly warm and tiingling sensation in that area. Finally you will feel the muscles become relaxed and heavy. In the same way, concentrate for 10 seconds on each the following organs, in the order mentioned : forehead, eyes and eyelids, lips and tongue, chin, face, throat, neck, shoulders, right hand, left hand, chest, backbone, stomach, intestine, waist, hips, thighs, knees, ankles, feet and toes. Visualize and feel the blood circulation increasing in those areas, the warm and tickling sensation, and finally the muscles becoming relaxed and heavy. Go through the list of the organs several times before you start the relaxation process so that you don’t have any difficulty remembering their names and order.) As you progress from head to toe, feel relaxation flowing down your body like melting ice. 4. Imagine your body is becoming numb. Now slowly breathe in and out through your nostrils 5 times. Take a little longer to exhale than to inhale. Then gently let your breathing return to normal. 5. Now focus your attention on your breathing. Feel and visualize the air entering through your nostrils, filling every cell in your lungs, then coming out again. Concentrate on your breathing, but do no control it. Let it flow normally. Continue for 1 or 2 minutes. Feel your body becoming heavier. 6. Shift your attention to the force of gravity pulling your body downwards. Feel your own weight. Notice how the weight of your head, shoulders, chest, abdomen, hips, hands and legs has increased. Imagine that they are becoming heavier and heavier and turning numb. Imagine the cells in your body are no longer living cells, but have been transformed into sand. 7. Imagine your whole body is made of sand. Visualize and try to feel as if these grains of sand are shedding from your body. Your fingers, hands, legs, chest, abdomen, thighs, everything is sand falling from your body. Your body is being transformed into a pile of sand. Imagine, as clearly as you can, that your whole body is lying on the floor as a pile of sand. 8. You are just a pile of sand. Imagine a cool wind blowing from the north. The wind is getting stronger and stronger. The windstorm is blowing away the sand that was your body. You do not have a body anymore! All you have is your mind, your consciousness. You are completely relaxed. The frequency of your brain waves has dropped from the Beta to the Alpha level. You have reached your ‘Alpha Station’ on the way to your Quantum Home. There is a special waiting room just for you in this station. 9. Now say to yourself, 'From the Alpha Station I am now going even deeper into my mind to my Quantum Home. As long as I am there, any external noise will only make my concentration deeper. However, no matter how deep a state I am in, if there is a fire, earthquake or any other kind of emergency, I will automatically return to my normal conscious state and take the appropriate actions promptly. 10. You are now going to start a mental countdown to reach your Quantum Home. By counting down from 19 to 0 you will reach your Quantum Home through a path of light. As you think 19, imagine you are being showered by a sublime blue light. A long path of light is in front of you. This path leads to the deeper levels of your mind. Count 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11. Think, “This path of light is taking me deeper and deeper into my mind.” Continue counting down. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6. Think, “I am going deeper and deeper.” 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0. Tell yourself, “I have reached my Quantum Home.” Let a feeling of complete peace and happiness engulf you. 11. Take a couple of minutes to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Take in the fragrance of the flowers, the colors and textures of plants, the chirping of the birds, the waves of the sea, the murmur of the fountains…Pay attention to every detail, touch everything, feel everything. 12. Now enter the drawing room of your Quantum Home, and sit comfortably. 13. Your Quantum Home is a powerful state of consciousness. As soon as you reach this level, your mind automatically assigns your immune and healing systems to cure any illness. In this state, your mind can utilize the power of your brain fully to implement any plan for your welfare. Your brain readily accepts autosuggestions at this state. So, for future benefit, say to yourself , “In the future, whenever, with the intention to meditate, I close my eyes and say or hear the words “Relax, Relax, Relax.” all the unnecessary activities in my mind and body will stop and I will feel completely relaxed. Then, after I count down from 19 to 0, I will reach my Quantum Home.” You may also add other autosuggestions. For example, “From now onwards I will have more and more mental strength and will always be completely relaxed. My memory will improve. My courage and confidence will increase day by day.I will easily concentrate on any subject I desire for any length of time. My body and mind will always be completely healthy. I will be free from the influence of all negative and reactive thoughts and words. Positive and proactive thoughts will bring my welfare. I will get whatever I want through proactive thinking. Day by day, in every way, I am getting better, healthier, and happier.” You may create your own autosuggestions according to your physical and mental needs. Every word you say in this level of mind will be transformed into energy. 14. At this stage, you may concentrate on your monchobi or mental image, perform self-healing, or employ any of the other meditation techniques mentioned. 15. After spending this wonderful time in your Quantum Home it is now time to return to reality. Take a long deep breath. Say aloud or in your mind, “After I count from 0 to 7, I will open my eyes and be wide awake. I will feel lively and energetic in both body and mind.” Now start counting. 0, 1. Feel the sand grains returning to form your body. 2, 3. Take a long breath. Feel the sand grains transforming into healthy living cells. 4, 5. Take another long breath. Feel your body has been nicely reconstructed and is now vibrant with new life force. Say to yourself “After I count to 7, I will open my eyes and be wide awake. I will not feel any pain or discomfort in my head, neck, shoulders, or any other part of my body. I will be completely aware of my surroundings. I will be healthy, lively and energetic.” 6, 7. Open your eyes. Gently move your head and shoulders. Stretch your legs. Move your arms and hands. Say loudly and joyfully, “I am feeling wonderful. I am feeling wonderful.”

After You Practice Relaxation for the First Time
Congratulations for meditating wonderfully. When you are meditating, remember: 1. After you finish meditation, it may feel like you were simply sitting or lying with your eyes closed. That you didn’t feel anything special. Don’t worry if this happens. Just continue practicing. Gradually you will start feeling more. 2. Your body might feel extremely heavy. This is a good sign. Your body is starting to listen to you very fast. 3. Your might feel hot and start sweating. This is also natural. Things will return to normal if you continue practicing for a few days. 4. You might get a lot of saliva in your mouth. This is also a positive sign. Your body is starting to relax very quickly. 5. Your throat may become dry. If so, think of something tangy, like lemon or tamarind. Your mouth will automatically become wetter. 6. If you meditate sitting, you will probably feel some pain in your neck, shoulder and back. This will also go away if you practice for a few days. 7. Some people- very few- feel dizzy or nauseous while meditating. If this happens take some long deep breaths while continuing to meditate. The discomfort will go away. After you practice relaxation in this process twice everyday for forty days, you are ready to move on to relaxation: short process and other meditations. Pick any meditation from the selected meditations section based on your need.
