Evernote is a suite of software and services designed for note taking and archiving. A “note” can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, a handwritten “ink” note, or a scanned business card.Evernote allows you to easily capture information in any environment using whatever device or platform you find most convenient, and makes everything accessible and searchable at any time, from anywhere. It has a built in OCR that converts all of your .PDF files, hand written notes and images into searchable items. Take a picture of or scan any business card, add or save that picture into Evernote and the OCR function inside of Evernote will allow you to be able to search for all the texts on that business card.It's a free and very useful cloud-based note taking and organizational tool for those who use multiple computers, travel or those who are sick of their desktop being cluttered with sticky notes (physical or software based). Use Evernote to capture your ideas, snapshots, voice memos, things you see online, and just about anything else that you want to remember.There are versions of Evernote for Windows, Mac, the Web, iPhone, Windows Mobile, and other mobile devices. Each of these versions of Evernote is always synchronized, so any information added in one of these equipments is instantly copied or synchronized with all the others, wherever they maybe.
