Human Resource Development One of the objectives of the SDC is to develop the human resources in the Member States in the area of information science/technology/management/systems/services so as to prepare the region for the impending new information era. Towards this end, SDC conducts a number of training programmes, as under: 1. Short Term Course on Information Technology for Information Management
Short Term Course on Information Technology for Information Management Short Term Course on Information Technology for Information Management is conducted twice a year in collaboration with the host Institute; National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR). How to apply The applicants of SAARC Member States other than India can contact their National Focal Points. Nominations will be accepted through the SAARC Secretariat. The applicants from India may apply through their parent organizations. The application should be forwarded by the head of the Organization. The application should be addressed to the Director, SAARC Documentation Centre, NISCAIR Building, 14 Satsang Vihar Marg, New Delhi – 110067. The application should reach us at least two weeks before the commencement of the Course. Direct applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. Course Fee SDC will bear the cost of training including the cost of course material, working lunch, tea, etc.
Local Hospitality SDC will provide local hospitality for the participants, which includes free accommodation, and living allowance of INR. 1000/- per day during the training period. SDC does not provide for medical insurance and sightseeing trips. However, transport for airport pickup and drop would be provided by the SDC.
Travel Expenses To and fro travel expenses of the participants will have to be borne by the sponsoring institution or the individual concerned.
