WHAT IS TRAINING
Training is the process of increasing knowledge and enhancing skills of the employees so that they can perform their assigned job efficiently and effectively with their improved performance.  A process  for increasing knowledge and skills  for the assigned task

DEFINITION
According to Flippo, “training is the act of increasing the knowlede and skills of an employee for doing a particular job.” Training, thus, may be defined as a planned programme designed to improve performance and bring about measurable changes in knowledge, skills, attitude and social behaviour of employees.
