HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICERS
(2 POSITIONS)
Tanzania Postal Bank (TPB) seeks to appoint dedicated, self-motivated and highly
organized Human Resources Officers (2 positions) to join the Human Resources and
Administration team. The work station is Dar es Salaam
R eporting Line: Senior Manager Human Resources
Locations: Head Office
W ork Schedule: As per TPB Staff regulations
Salary: Commensurate to the Job Advertised

K EY R ESP ON SI B I LI TI ES


Management of incoming and outgoing mails, records retrieval, file movement,
filing documents, creation of file movement slips



Internal Control of information with regards to registry section, work in
partnership with action officers



Serving files to action officers and controlling file transit sheets



Present file movement register for signing by action officers



Make sure that all files which action officers have taken are back to the registry



Keep files free of unnecessary materials such as duplicates, drafts etc.



Use the bring up system when action on a file needs to be temporary
suspended



Advice the Director of Human Resources and Administration on ways to
improve performance of records/registry section



Assist in the administration of the operation and maintenance of human

resources development processed such as Succession Planning, Promotions
and Transfers to ensure the company’s needs are met and employee
satisfaction is optimised.


Assist in the administration of the operation and maintenance of human
resource Provide effective on the job training and coaching to less experienced
personnel in the area so they may achieve their maximum potential.



Ensure that employees and contractors adhere to TPB’s safety and
environmental standards and any applicable legislative requirements.



Ensure there is adherence to all TPB’s policies and procedures.



Assist in the administration the human resource procurement activities such as
HR planning, job evaluation, benefits structuring, recruitment and selection,
relocation and induction to ensure the needs of departments are being met in a
timely and cost effective manner and in accordance with TPB’s policies and
procedures and any external legal requirements.



administration activities such as Conditions of Service, Remuneration Benefits,
Performance Management, Union Relations and Employee Relations generally,
to ensure Bank competitiveness, safe storage and accessibility of information
and a fair and consistent application across TPB.



Continually review every aspect of the areas’ activities to ensure that
opportunities to add value and enhance shareholder wealth are identified and
implemented.

Education:
Bachelor
Degree
in
Human
Resources/Records
Management/Business Administration or any relevant field from recognized
institute

Experience:







At least 1 year of relevant experience in Human
Resources
At least 1 year of relevant experience in Records
Management
At least 1 year of relevant experience in HR Systems
Computer knowledge of Ms Word, Excel, Power Point
Attention to details

EXP ER I EN CE AN D

K N OW LEDGE R EQUI R ED:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma in Banking, Economics, Commerce,
Business Administration, Finance, Accounting from any recognized University or
equivalent qualification.
Ex perience and sk ills:
-

At least 1 - 3 years of relevant Banking Experience

-

Good knowledge of micro finance with significant experience in group
lending may be added advantage.

-

Working knowledge of Equinox core banking system is an added
advantage

-

High level of integrity

-

Must be keen on details

-

Excellent communication and report writing

-

Ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision

-

Ability to relate to people at all levels

-

Computer literate is desirable.
