Peter Ferdinand drucker was an Austrian-born American management consultant, educator,
and author, whose writings contributed to the philosophical and practical foundations of the
modern business corporation. He was also a leader in the development of management
education, he invented the concept known as management by objectives, and he has been
described as "the founder of modern management"
Michael Porter is an economist, researcher, author, advisor, speaker and teacher. Throughout
his career at Harvard Business School, he has brought economic theory and strategy concepts
to bear on many of the most challenging problems facing corporations, economies and
societies, including market competition and company strategy, economic development, the
environment, and health care. His extensive research is widely recognized in governments,
corporations, NGOs, and academic circles around the globe. His research has received
numerous awards, and he is the most cited scholar today in economics and business. While
Dr. Porter is, at the core, a scholar, his work has also achieved remarkable acceptance by
practitioners across multiple fields.

Biography :
Peter Drucker was of Jewish descent on both sides of his family, but his parents converted to
Christianity and lived in what he referred to as a "liberal" Lutheran Protestant household in
Austria-Hungary.His mother Caroline Bondi had studied medicine and his father Adolf Drucker
was a lawyer and high-level civil servant.He grew up in a home where intellectuals, high
government officials, and scientists would meet to discuss new ideas
After graduating from Döbling Gymnasium, Drucker found few opportunities for employment in
post-World War I Vienna, so he moved to Hamburg, Germany, first working as an apprentice at an
established cotton trading company, then as a journalist, and from here the journey starts.

career:
Drucker's career as a business thinker took off in 1942, when his initial writings on
politics and society won him access to the internal working in General
motors(GM).Drucker's 39 books have been translated into more than thirty-six
languages. He had worked in many mutinational enterprises.

Michael Eugene Porter (born May 23, 1947) is the Bishop William Lawrence
University Professor at The Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, based at the
Harvard Business School. He is a leading authority on competitive strategy and the
competitiveness and economic development of nations, states, and regions. Michael
Porter's work is recognized in many governments, corporations and academic circles
globally. He chairs Harvard Business School's program dedicated for newly appointed
CEOs of very large corporations.

Strategy, Competitive Advantage, Competitive Advantage of Nations, and On
Competition.
