ABOUT BIJAPUR The city was established in the 10th-11th centuries centuries by the Kalyani Chalukyas and was known as Vijayapura (City of victory). The city was passed to Yadavas after Chalukya's demise. The city came under the influence of the Khilji Sultanate in Delhi by the late 13th century. In 1347, the area was conquered by the Bahmani Sultanate of Gulbarga. By this time, the city was being referred as Vijapur or Bijapur. Bijapur, Karnataka. Ironically the name Beejpur literally means replete with seeds in Sanskrit, meaning Pomegranate.

REACHING BIJAPUR  Bijapur city is the distric districtt headquarters of Bijapur District of Karnataka state. Bijapur city is well known for its historical monuments of architectural importance built during the rule of Adil Shahi dynasty. Bijapur is located 530 km northwest of Bangalore and about 550 km from Mumbai and 384 km from Hyderabad.

ABOUT KARNATAKA STATE WOMEN'S UNIVERSITY UNIVE RSITY,, BIJAPUR. Karnataka State Women's University, established in 2003 in the city of Bijapur is the only Women's University in Karnataka dedicated exclusively for women's education. It is recognized under 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. One hundred and nineteen women's colleges spread in thirteen districts of North-Karnataka are affiliated to this University. The University offers various UG programmes leading to Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business Administration, Computer Applications, Commerce, Education, Fashion Technology, Home Science, Physical Education, Science and Social Work. It also offers 30 P G Courses, P G Diploma and Certificate Courses in the Faculties of Arts, Commerce and Management, Social Sciences, Science and an d Technology Technology and an d Education. To cater to the research needs of the women students, it also offers Ph.D and M.Phil Programmes in various subjects.

DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES : The Department of Studies and Research in Management was established establishe d in the year 2007 and Commerce in 2009. It offers two years (four semesters) Post Graduate degree in the field of Management and Commerce. The course is being designed, update and imparted to develop conceptual and analytical skills of the student in the line with the industry requirements and has experienced faculty, invites industry experts and academicians from reputed universities /institutions /instit utions on need basis. The course is enriched with in-plant training and research project to inculcate research culture and get an exposure to the working of corporate environment. The Department promotes faculty research, consultancy, training and outreach activities. The Department is also offering Ph.D and M.Phil Programmes.

THEME OF THE CONFERENCE: Sustainability, the capacity to endure, has become a topic of global concern in recent years. Recently, increasing attention to ecological and social sustainability has suggested new dimensions for the concept of sustainability in strategic management research. These added scope, raised questions about how researchers and managers can integrate social and ecological dimensions into business and corporate cor porate level strategy in a way way that enhances, rather than detracts from, the creation of sustainable advantage. advantage. The full length paper should not be more than 5000 words or 10 pages. The final paper should be submitted in electronic format (MS Word), font Times New Roman, 12 pt with 1.5 spacing with a margin of 1” on all sides.
