Founded in 1819, Maryville college is one of the 50 oldest universities in the united States and the 12th oldest in the South. in the u.S., a 4-year college offers the same level of undergraduate education as a 4-year university. Maryville college is a private, not-for-profit liberal arts college. A Liberal arts education means that our students go through a rigorous academic program and study a variety of topics, not only their major. this gives our students broader knowledge and intellectual capacities that prepare them for leadership, lifetime of productive work and personal growth.We have approximately 1,100 students including a diverse group of international students from over 20 countries.
