This examination paper contains two tasks. You must complete both tasks.

Task 1 — Reading into writing task
You are going to England on holiday next month and want to visit Bluewater shopping centre near
London. Read the text below and then, in your own words, write a letter (approximately 75 words)
to your English penfriend saying:
i) what you are going to do at the shopping centre and
ii) inviting your friend to come with you.

Visit the best shopping centre in England

A visit to Bluewater shopping centre in England is an enjoyable day out for all
the family. You can choose from more than three hundred places to shop and
eat. There are fifty restaurants, cafés and bars, and you can also go
rock-climbing, fishing, cycling, play golf or go to the cinema!
Every year twenty-seven million people visit the centre. It is situated in a big
park with seven lakes and more than one million trees.
There are three big department stores and smaller clothes, sports, music and
furniture shops.
The Bluewater team are always there to help with information about where to
shop and eat.
