By the commencement of the final day of operation of the Driver Reviver site, Monday 2 January 2012, it was clear cl ear there had been no servicing of the park's facilities. The rubbish bins were over-flowing, over -flowing, both male and female toilets were out of toilet paper and in a very unhygienic state. This situation became steadily worse as the day wore on. The situation had not changed when the Driver Reviver site was finally vacated by 9.00am Tuesday Tuesday 3rd January. VOTE FOR  THE BEST CABONNE CANDIDATE  All Cabonne residents will be voting for the same set of candidates at the next Council elections after the State Government agreed to abolish wards in the Shire. “This means electors will be able to vote for the candidates they believe will best represent them regardless of where they live in Cabonne,” Mayor Bob Dowling said.  said.   The Shire currently has six wards, each represented by two Councillors, Councillor s, but they will become a thing of the past when the next Local Government elections are held in Septemberr 2012. A LOCAL TOUCH TO YEAR  OF THE FARMER   2012 has been designated Australia Year of the Farmer (AYOF) thanks to Forbes dairy farmer, Philip Bruem, who is AYOF Board Chairman and the driving force behind the initiative. 2012 Australian Year of the Farmer aims to celebrate the contribution farmers make to our daily lives and also strives to enrich the connections between rural and urban Australia. “It is great to see a local identity at the forefront of the year-long celebrations. Stuffed Mushrooms 6 large flat mushrooms 60g prosciutto, finely chopped 1/4 cup Italian parsley, chopped 2 tsp sage, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1/4 cup breadcrumbs 1/4 cup parmesan, freshly grated 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 2 tbsp dry white wine 30g butter Preheat oven to 200oC. Wipe mushrooms with damp cloth, remove & finely chop stems only. Mix stems, prosciutto, herbs, garlic, cheese & breadcrumbs, season to taste with salt & pepper.
