Jamar Humphrey Letter of Recommendation

May 13, 2012 To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this letter of recommendation in support of Nicole McIntyre. I had the pleasure of working with Nicole in the fall of 2011, where she was an intern student teacher in my classroom. During this time Nicole demonstrated a sense of professional maturity that you would expect from a seasoned teacher. She attended all scheduled field visits and often arrived early and stayed late to assist with day-to-day activities. Nicole has shown her genuine commitment to teaching on various occasions while in my classrooms. First and foremost, she was always prepared to teach her lessons. If any materials or resources were needed, Nicole made sure to have these items with her on the day that she was to teach. Secondly, she frequently inquired about best teaching practices and developed her lessons to support all students. Also, in a very short time Nicole made it a point to develop personal connections with students. I think one reason why she was so successful in doing so was because she used her knowledge of certain students to inform her interactions with them. Nicole is young and has already shown so much potential as a future educator. As she continues to gain more experience, there is no doubt in my mind that Nicole will be a tremendous asset in the classroom. That is why I write this letter of recommendation for Nicole.
